I think the real problem is with the government... they should make NCAP 3 star rating and EURO6 a must have standard for cars in Pakistan... many improved versions of cars will start coming then

In my opinion, all faw user should unite and put a petition against faw dealers for not providing proper spare availability and not launching proper campaign. Otgerwise dear, wait for one year, it would go worst than liana. Koi 6 lac me b ni le ga faw v2 ko. We all would loss our hard earn money.

Many parts are easily available in open market and I normally do not go to dealerships. But the problem is when you ask something for "FAW V2" the shopkeeper turns blank, despite that part is available with him.

My experience for following items, other members can add to this list.
Oil Filter - Honda City
Air Filter - Toyota Duet
Spark Plugs - Swift / Liana

BTW, Liana didnt fail because of parts. It had Suzuki backing. It was genuinely not suited for our fuel preferences. The comparison with v2 is not fair since the latter has a rock solid engine.

Liana never had any issues with fuel its same as Swift engine. Reason of failure was PakSuzuki stuoid injector nased cng kit which really ruined the car. Liana was a. Very good car and petrol driven cars are going great till today. I m sure if Toyota would have used liana kit..even corolla eould have been a big big flop. PakSuzuki don't have engineers..they have idiots

Faw is doing really good in market..and i see more and more cars.. thanks god fae didn't experiment with the car..just a better customer service and faw can do even better

Yes it's been a success even I personally think looking at amount of Faw v2 i see in lahore they're more then Swifts I have seen( i might be wrong)

I guess you can get 2015 model in this price tag but it will not be low milage, but dont worry V2 is better in high mileage as well.

I agree. For a car to succeed in our market, it doesn't need to be a Mehran. If it creates a niche market for itself, then I would consider it to be a success. It can still be profitable to the manufacturer right now, if it sells in good enough numbers. In other countries, where the automotive market is not dictated by a few monopolies, this is what is considered a good enough market share in the relevant category. People don't start calling that car a failure or something. Quite similar to the Santro, which I think was a successful car. It gained a significant market share and was profitable.

Santro indeed was a success. Faw is good but after they need to cater auto gear market as AGS is getting interest despite the higher price tag...auto gear is what awam is interested nowadays

I agree with you on the auto gear market. Unfortunately, the cheapest we get is the Cultus AGS, for people who don't want to buy used/JDMs, that is the only option. In the cities, automatic transmission has become a necessity, and hatchbacks are preferred, especially for city driving and for ladies/kids short trips. FAW is missing out on that. However, Al-haj might not be missing out on this trend, as they are looking to introduce Proton cars, which are also available with CVT. I have heard of Proton Saga being introduced within a year, which will be the least expensive CVT in Pakistan. If they place it between Cultus AGS and the Honda City, I think they can create a niche market similar to the V2. Who knows they might even become more successful than that.

I am also hopeful that they will take wise decision by launching a local assembled variant in Sedan Category and they will not contaminate their Hatchback category with Proton. Saga if launched in 1.5 million price tag will be healthy enough for launching and shifting to local assembly later on.

I have a FAW model 2018 in my house, driven by my sisiter. When my brother in Law booked the car back in 2017. The company person said that their Auto gear is in the pipe line. So in the coming two years i think they will work it out. Same goes for the United Bravo
