Salam friends, Need your help guys.
I bought FAW V2 in 2018. It is only 4800km driven. Its instrument cluster malfunctioned suddenly and the dealership guy says it needs replacement.
He said, they will have to source the part from abroad and it will take time. Plus it is going to be very EXPENSIVE. I still have 6 months of warranty left. He said he will call company and find out in 2-3 days time but generally we don't cover electrical components in warranty.
I mean, how is that even possible ?? All electrical items are covered in warranty. I read the warranty book and it does not say anywhere that electrical items are exempted from warranty claim. What should I do ??

Sorry to hear about this.you can expect any rubbish from dealership staff..they just took the dealership for looting. Dealerships are one of the main reason of mistrust for faw v2 by ppl.
Try call or write to direct company.they will definitely help.

this is purely dealership staff non professionalism, you should look for the dealership owner and talk to him yourself, otherwise write to head-office or area sales team

If you can source them from aftermarket shop, or even any FAW dealership, then for sure, you can have them installed from any good, reasonable mechanic (provided warranty issues, claims, etc. are not there).

There are some shops in National Market and Commercial Market; Satellite Town, Rawalpindi, which deal with such repairs and then paint work, and at reasonable prices, but 1st, you need to visit these markets (I would prefer Commercial market over National market, as rates are slightly reasonable there).

Depends on the work, and type of quality you need.

I would say dealer may be avoided, as they might charge you a lot.

2ndly, it might also be possible that they get this work done from some after market shop, and claim that they did the work themselves, and when everything is done, and they hand over your car to you; they charge you a lot.

So why not have the work done yourself?

Bumper repair is not expensive or technical, unless / until it is shattered in to small pieces.

IMO, you may look for Manual transmission fluid from any of following companies:

1. Kixx
2. ZIC
3. Caltex / Havoline
4. Toyota or Aisin (most preferable)

Imported, fancy, expensive brands may be avoided.

As long as the oil meets / exceeds the OEM criteria, that oil should work fine, even if its from PSO (No offense / disrespect).

People are not satisfied with fuel economy of MT FAW V2. How will they settle for FAW V2 with conventional, AT?

FAW V2 used to give me around 12~13 kmpl within twin cities; mostly on highway travelling, 02 persons on-board, driving with very light foot, careful driving, etc.

Get it scanned from any showroom, may some cable loose connection of Airbag system.

Friends, my instrument cluster got replaced under warranty and now, it reads again 0km. Their guys said that because its new ( although I know its not, it has a few scratches on ) it will start from 0.

Thinking to change tyre..its 17 model nd stock tyres are still going good.but odu is 60k..i think 4 years and 60km is enough to change tyres..
Any suggestions nd rate ideas? I m in rwp
