Sadly @umairalizafar being from Islamabad, I have little other choice besides dealing with these crooks, so whilst the experience might be better in Lahore or Faisalabad, its a non starter for me. My car was received in the last dates of 2017, not sure what has changed in a month and ten days for the audio player, but I sure as hell dont want to take another trip down the memory lane to the dealership just to check that out, so I shall just take your word for it my friend.
And @cracked, the car is still good, if you're in a region like Umair is with proper after sales and service support, but I wouldnt put my faith in the Islamabad dealership coming through for you - no wonder Mitsubishi failed here, with dealerships and support network like that. And yes, @mumbojumbo, I could certainly get the lamp housing just changed on my own as an out of pocket expense, but its not an issue of money anymore - and even principally if I let it go as you have asked, it is a question of common human decency and courtesy, and how you treat another fellow human, especially when said fellow human is a paying customer bringing you his business.
I commend your enthusiasm still after reading my recent experience. Yes, you could very much maintain the car on your own. Our old Honda and my old Baleno are both maintained like that, by ourselves with minimal dealership intervention, and they have both lived to the ripe old ages of 13 and 16 respectively, and 140K and 200K KM respectively. And this considering the after sales and market support of the Baleno are both zero, and have been, almost, since 2005, when it was replaced in the market. I would however still recommend going to the dealership for the first three services upto 5k or 10k km, or upto the six month period from purchase, as they do break-in maintanence to that effect at those mileage figures.
