Today i took out FAW V2 for a test drive from the Faisalabad showroom, i am giving my personal opinion about this car and posting some pictures too.
First of all the price is 10.67 Lac Rupees, not very less (as we get some other options in this price range) but still for a brand new 1300cc car in current Pakistani car market its not too high.
The car has:
Power steering
Power windows + power side mirrors
A.B.S.
Keyless entry
Immobilizer
Dual air bags
Alloy rims
Fog Lamps
No other local car of this price range gives all these features, swift is expensive than V2 still doesnt have air bags or immobilizer. Even city doesnt have air bags or immobilizer.
The cars doors are way better than swift when you close them (they feel heavier)
Interior is good but i didnt like the placement of front window buttons (near the handbrake) and neither i liked the indicator lever on left side of the steering instead of the right side.
I havent driven swift so i cant say which one drives better but i can surely say that it has more space (leg room) than swift and is quite comfortable too.
The front of car looks alright, back looks rather more stylish due to the white lights. (my personal opinion)
It was a heavy traffic road so i couldnt drive too fast but i tried to hammer it and yes the responce was good and it wasnt rattling or shaking or making too much noise infact was quite smooth.
If you compare it with cultus then you are in for a treat atleast thats what i feel because its not like that piece of trash (cultus).
The car comes with warranty too (2 years/50,000 KMs)
For now it is being imported, if the company gets good responce maybe they will start assembling it here in Pakistan.
I am happy to see that atleast someone is trying to challenge the monopoly of the typical companies (toyota, Honda, Suzuki) by giving more features in less price.
When i heard about this car for the first time i was sure that it will be a flop but after looking and driving it im hopeful that this car can get good customers because there is no other option with so many features in this price range (atleast not zero meter)
