Just noticed that video was uploaded by some Ferrari fan.

As soon as Ferrari shifted in 7th, video stopped. Naturally, last gear offers least acceleration. While LFA still had a lot left in 5th gear as its 5th gear red line is at 320kmph and fuel cut is at 340kmph. It could have continued with same pace uptil 340 kmph whereas Ferrari would have run out of breadth in final gear only at a mere 260kmph!

PS: LFA's 6th gear is for cruising only and the car does not accelerate beyond 340kmph in 6th.

even if the LFA was faster, i'd rather have the 458,... or even a GTR.

the LFA is a bit of a failure in my opinion (value for money wise)

But you have to give thumbs up to lexus because this is their first super car and it is as good as ferraris as far as performance is concerned....

Lexus have taken a good step by launching a super-car, But atleast Ferrari & Lamborghini give breath taking super hot designs to their cars (Except Ferrari FF that is something yukh thu :P)

But you have to give thumbs up to lexus because this is their first super car and it is as good as ferraris as far as performance is concerned....

+1. Lexus did very good job by producing this car. The price is extremely high because Toyota spent 10 years to develop this car and According to Toyota they did not earn a single penny of profit on each one they sold.

Surely a good step. Lexus LFA NE lapped in Nurburgring in 7 min 14.65 seconds and It is 5th or 6th all time fastest production car there. It has still the record for fastest wet lap on Top Gear track (1 min 22.8 beating Gallardo by 3 seconds there). It is the fastest on Goodwood track in UK beating 2008 GTR by 5 seconds there.

Toyota is something else and Ferrari is something else. Ferrari can't even smell the dust of Toyota's legacy in making cars for daily use.
