Yar am only wana sell caz am double minded, 1st thing is that if ots parts will be available after 3-4 years? 2ndly shud i keep it on diesel or convert it on Petrol, also i have heard the in pindi diesel engines are also converted on CNG, but not know exactly ehere.

If i convert it on cng, should cultus engine works or not, caz it cost about Rs. 70,000, for cultus engine and about Rs. 100,000 fo toyota GLI 1.3 cngine, so plz tell me which is better engine

As per my info the cost of petrol Engine Conversion to 4EFE (Toyota 1.3 EFI) is about 60K while i m not sure about cost of cultus engine but it works wid Fiat Uno.
Diesel CNG set up are not as ecnomical in small vehecles specially running in urban areas while these setups works fine in commercial vehiceles running on high ways.

Putting a 4EFE will cost you a zillion...since you will have to change the suspension, brakes, etc...etc...

I personally feel 1000CC engine installed, will do well without over doing. But you will still have to change the suspension, brakes, probably shift the brake cylinder from left to right and all essentials.

I am disappointed to be honest. I was expecting better results. The car is over powered. Too much modifications.

In particular, I am having problems with the brakes. Inspite of replacing the brakes with toyota's it still wont stop like it should. I must say there's a lot of finishing work left to be done. And I might have to put in some more money and maybe see another mechanic before i m satisfied.

@ imran you are right bro, without cng Toyota engine cost 60,000. but you have to install efi cng also for 40,000.

In both cases of Cultus or Toyota, there is no need to chande the brakes. Now a days am working on my frieds Fiat Lancia, it is going to be converted in Toyota 1.3 EFI.

plz tell me is 1.3efi and 4efi engines are same.........?

Toyota 4EFE is 1.3 Efi & 4AFE is 1.6 Efi

BTW i will suggest u not to change suspesion & Braking system bcoz as @freddies is saying it wont perform well.Sorry i miss ur call as most of the time i didnt attend unknown #s. however i will call u back soon.

No crystal lights for Uno are not available but ucan get custom made crystal lights on order from Plaza Karachi (Not syre about Exact shop).

I have disscussed with my mechanic, he says there is no need to change brakes or suspention, INSHALLAH engine will be fitted on geniun mountings without any welding, only thing to be customised is "GODay" i dont know what exact mechanical name of them is.........

I think the form of conversion you are going for ... is a very crude form. What they do is.......they keep the outer axles of fiat and the inner axles of toyota/whatever and then they weld the damn thing somewhere.

When a heavy 1.7D iron cast engine will be replaced by a lighter weight petrol aluminium block. The suspension WILL have to be adjusted. In a proper conversion, the suspension, and brakes will have to be re adjusted replaced.

In any case. I sincerely advice you, not to get the coversion done from Lahore. If u're in Lahore, you better go to peshawar for that. I am sure there will be other pakwheelers there ready to help you.

yep u r right bro, the same thing was mechanic telling me..to weld the rod... how ever same experiment is alreadyin process with my friend's fiat lancia. once it will be comleted i will test the results and INSHALLAH let you all know about that....after that i will decied finally what to do with my fiat..

I can confidently tell, that kind of conversion will not last long. Get it properly done. Get it done from Peshawar.

There you will have plenty of options to choose from and will cost you a little cheaper and less pain in the #^%

peshwar option is quiet good but only prob is the time, if i done it fron peshawar, at least 4-5 day i need to quit from my office. can you refer me , to any one in peshawar..?
