@minex. i put in a bottle of STP diesel fuel additive for cleaning injectors. i have so far put in 2 bottles since the last 2 full tanks. i have witnessed a considerable improvement in pick up and a bit on speed. economy remains the same arnd 19~20km/ltr.

@spectra. i am thiniking of getting a new UNO. i hope the UNO as brand new doesnt come with all the weird problems highlighted here b.t.w. i have 84 charade since 84 (first hand). i have never seen any 1 replacing/tuning its nozzles, fuel pumps etc. at max changed glow plugs thrice during the years. car gives good avg and no heat-up problems and cool a/c.

do check out a new UNO and post a review here.
Charade do require nozzle cleaning and pressure checking for good performance. BUt diesels do keep on working and give up suddenly, unlike petrol engines which give u a sign on a smallest lapse of maintenance. Its good and bad at the same time.
So its better to get injector pressure checked after 25K Kms on any diesel car.

Putting diesel fuel additives is a good idea for sure. It helps a lot in maintaning things but they cannot troubleshoot on deposits if any inside the diesel pump and injectors.

can you put a picture of the stp diesel fuel additive you put in.. or you can tell us the place where you got it from...i havent seen this one in the market...

i have got a brand new pump in my car.. which has done like 20 thousand miles...so the pump is all good... the nozzles are 13 years and 67 thousand miles old...

i have got a new set with me...by the way i have got a peugoet 205 1.8 Diesel

STP fuel additive is available at good petrol pump shops. I trust diplomatic enclave PSO for buying such things. Expensive but genuine.

Guys in my car i think two nozzles are not working properly & even one of them is fixed with the help of Magic Depoxy reisen. So in case of two cylenders feul can not be properly injected to perfrom ignition at idle engine RPM so to over come this problem the idle engne RPM is set at almost double than normal so this thing irritate me much when driving in trafiic jams or slow speed & obviously this thing tends to consume more fuel. Thats why i decided to get service fuel pump & nozzles or to replace nozzles depending on final opinion from Diesel Laborotary.

i faced same problem and some of it is still there but now its better then what it used to be.
The culprit can be the pump as well. Nozzles on FIAT are less problematic then the pump

@minex. i got one from shell pump Jinnah Super Wala near Kabul Restaurant. Its Rs.150 per bottle. Just give it to the attendenat when u go for a tanky full. he will add it first and then fill up your car.

i felt considerable improvement in pick of car. after all i never went out to get a pressure check etc.

all these years.

the car still gives good avergage of arnd 18~20 while driving at an avg speed of 90km/hr. Drive mostly between chakalala and blue area
