You tax must already be deducted and paid by yr employer. Ask your tax/finance dept to give you the tax certificate of yours which they have submitted in NBP with yr name. Your tax is already paid, you just need to file yr return. First, generate yr NTN (register first as yr NIC is yr ntn now). Then you will receive login credentials to move forward. But i think the extended deadline is exhausted too. Comfirm from someone

Maybe the deadlines are over for filing. I filed mine myself in feb 2016. Its very easy. Maybe you have to take small guidance from someone professional. I too got minor guidance

If they have sent u some notice through iris then u cant select that period.. first have to call fbr and ask for it..is there anythng like that in ur iris inbox???

Will call FBR tomorrow. Any idea about deadline, I heard it has extended to March 31.

Here is the method to open the Income Tax return in IRIS.
1. If you already Enrolled with fbr then login with you User Name And Password otherwise enroll your self with fbr first (for indviduals CNIC is User ID and For AOP's NTN is User ID.
2. Now go to Declaration tab on the top left side of the page and open the 114 (1) form (return of income filed voluntarily for complete year)
3. Now click on the Period and enter the Tax Year of the Return which you want to file and press enter.
4. Now select the Tax Period and You INCOME TAX RETURN FORM will open.

Now just fill your return and submit it.

2. How do I show medical, shopping etc., most don't give receipts or should I omit it?

only provide the lump sum (best approximate) amount under the expenses header.. no need to provide bills etc

Dear,

1. In the previous years, the revenue body had allowed relaxation from filing the wealth statement by those persons having annual income less than Rs1 million.
   The sources said the relaxation was available for the tax year 2013 as the government issued a SRO in November 2013 and further the amendment was made through insertion of Clause 82 to the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 to allow the relaxation for the tax year 2014.
   However, the amendments had been expired and no further extension has so far been granted under the Finance Act, 2015, which made it mandatory to every person having taxable income and required to file income tax return under the law also to submit income tax return.
   So Wealth Statement is Must in Tax Year 2015 even if you have nothing in your assets.

2. Well, to show your medical expenses you have to open the "PERSONAL EXPENSE" category in the 116 form of wealth statement.where you can add the details of your expenses you made in a year.

I am filing my tax returns on fbr online web portal so I want to ask you people a guideline which will be highly appreciated... I bought Corolla gli last year and paid 30000 withholding tax on that but not found any coloum on the web portal to adjust that amount so I thought that was the part of registration fee which is non adjustable coz we can only adjust excess income tax paid as salaried person if I am right then told me and if right then guide me coz I sold my gli and booked Civic X and now I have to pay another 75000 as withholding tax so if anyone can guide how to adjust that or told me if that is not adjustable. I shall be highly obliged.

Advance Income Tax paid at time of purchasing car, and Income Tax paid at time of registration of car are technically refundable, but its Pakistan baby, forget about refund, you will never get it, so just make it Adjustable, means, you can minus it from your payable taxes while filing your returns

For filing, always ask a professional to do it for you, I do it from a firm of CA qualified guys.

If you you do it yourself or ask a 500 wala guy to do it, you may get your name in ATL temporarily but you may get in trouble later on for incorrect filings, or you will have to go through Audit process and will cost you much more money
