No ADJUSTMENT for me possible. I am stuck between GOP and a European company. Financial boss says no adjustments since we are paying your taxes for 2014-14 and 2015-16

They are paying your taxes means? Are they bearing ur taxes or just withholding taxes from ur salary and depositing with fbr?

Yes they are bearing taxes for FY 2014-15 and 2015-16

It means that u will be charged for tax on tax.
But still at the time of filing of return u can claim that tax paid on vehicle regn. That will result in tax refundable for tax year 2015.
That tax refund can either be refunded or can be treated as advance tax for tax year 2015 by an order.

Always keep one thing in mind, every withholding tax (which is not the final discharge of tax liability under presumptive tax regime) is adjustable against ur final tax liability.

There u need to keep track of ur all adjustable taxes during the year, and request the employer not to deduct the tax from ur salary, so that the refund process can be avoided.

Just wanted to know is this true for Advance income taxes too? Specifically, the advance income tax of 1% paid by me on purchase of property, lets say, can be adjusted from my final tax liability?

Also I paid 6000 rupees for renewal of my car registration for 2015. It comprised of 2250 on account of Motor Vehicle (MV) Tax and 3750 Withholding tax. Does both of these taxes deductible or any one of them?

Hi, i filed my tax return for the very first time for both 2015 and 2014, now some friend is saying that u need to file returns from year 2012 and 2013 only then your name can appear in active taxpayers list. Is he right???

Bro i have submitted my returns by help of fbr trained guy he take only 3000 rs and make NTN IRIS account and submit your returns and also guide u if interested let me know i can provide u his number as well. He is also needy person

Little correction here capsat bhai, MV tax is not adjustable against income tax. Only adjustable withholding income tax is adjustable against income tax liability.

You tax must already be deducted and paid by yr employer. Ask your tax/finance dept to give you the tax certificate of yours which they have submitted in NBP with yr name. Your tax is already paid, you just need to file yr return. First, generate yr NTN (register first as yr NIC is yr ntn now). Then you will receive login credentials to move forward. But i think the extended deadline is exhausted too. Comfirm from someone

I did get "Certificate of Deduction" from my Employer.
Already registered in IRIS.
Don't know what to do next.
When I enter in my account, I can't change year or anything.
Someone told me I can file previous years return too but I can't even enter 2015 - so confused.
