Thanks bro. Sort of stumbled upon the Alpine after being misdirected earlier on. Both the amp and the BA comps are definitely tops. With this amp the BA sound is sort of elevated than with the previous amps I was running. IN cohesion with each other the M12 mono, PDX f6 and the speaks all work well.

Am enjoying and have planned some other stuff too...............

Alpine is very good in all department of audio liken focal is good in speakers and wooffer amplifier are just ok.

i noticed all speakers are good in their own way liken focal ko kuch ziada he promotion mil gaye hai PW per pata nahi kyuin, duniya bhar me focal lovers aur haters dono hain.kher logo ke pasand ke baat hai, apline ke X series bhi bhawat ache hoo ge for sure liken they are not getting any hype so far. bhai app ne BA ke components khahan se liye hain?

Your post is absolutely spot on. The review youhave posted I have read and posted the exact same review. "The stunningevolution of a proven range". I had worked so hard on my system and spenta considerable amount of moolah and when I turned it on I was mostdisappointed. You know that wow factor just was not there with the focal amps that I was using. I knew something had to be done. The moment I changed to the Alpineamps I will never forget that moment I was just blown away. With the exact samesub woofer and the same <st1:city><st1:place>boston</st1:place></st1:city> accoustics speaker and the alpine speakers in therear stage It was like I was in a different car. I got the wow "oh my God " feeling when you put in a new system rather than the what the hell just happened to the money I spent which I had with the focals.

The sound was like pure magic....I mean I thought I was sitting in an entirelydifferent car. You see what they have done with this amp is they have improvedthe frequency response from 4hz to 100,000hz. I mean in class D amps it isunheard of. In addition they use "global modulation" and haveimproved the sonics so much that literally when one hears it they think theyare hearing a class A or AB amplifier. Output impedence improved as well. The best way I can describe this gem is like having a musicorchestra composing a symphony in your car. Literally.

After the focal experience this was like waking up coming downstairs and seeinga ferarri or a Lambourghini Diablo in your driveway.

I completely agree with what your friend told you. Seems like a kindred spirit.Yes JL too made and makes amps that are almost similar to this but thedifference there is their premier 600 model 4 channel amplifier was a goodcomparison for the previous <st1:stockticker>PDX</st1:stockticker> 4 channel Alpine amplifer but when this new F6 <st1:stockticker>PDX</st1:stockticker> amp came it literally took it to a different level with sonics better than theJL and at a better price. All in all the engineer who made this amp or the teambehind it have restored Alpines amplifier reputation with their incredibletechnology.

hahahah Again I agree once you hear Alpine their aint no going back. They havebeen in the business for this long for a reason. As for the price of this ampif you compare the out put it is giving with sonics and output equal to orbetter than quite a few class AB amplifiers it is a bargain, literally.

Before I bought it I experimented quite a bit but what sold me was its sonics,performance and of course the 600rms it generates. I mean I can put in muchmore powerful speakers safe in the knowledge that I have the power to fullyutilize them. All in all a masterpiece.

I know Alpine is like tops in my book.....focal yes great for speakers.......but for amps hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...personally prefer the Alps.
Was searching myself for the x series speaks but could not find them.....especially the SPX 17 REF....they are just spectacular and the SPR 60C outstanding as well..

It is actually quite interesting for me to view my two old threads as it clearly shows the stuff I was running including the solid audio and focal amp and the changes I have made to reach my current set up within a three months period. If I replay those days in my head they seem like I was on some voyage on the road to a discovery which was made when I heard the alps amps. Also the research and mind thought going into it was immense. But your wishes of seeing the speakers and my pre can be answered by viewing the above thread.

Bro jus wana share, i have auditioned the SPX components vs focal PS 165 and entire audience fully agree that focal had far better clarity, detail and midbass compared to spx although they belong to different categories. M not being biased cz i have focal, jus sharing so that next time u wana buy something u know wt u r looking for. SPX are mainly meant for SQ.

The type R on the other hand are very good if u want midbass and that's it. Vocals are not high and clear and sound appears muddy. If u wana go loud then type R is not for you. The new SPR 60 i heard has slightly better vocals compared to previous model SPR 17C but still u can get something better in that price.

jesa ke app ne kaha trype x 165 jesa nahi hai i agree with you liken me ne ye bhi dekha hai audio me mehnga speaker zaroori nahi hain ke acha hoon. rahe baat amplifier ke to wo alpine ke amp bhawat ache hain focal ke compare me!!!!!!!!!

waqas bhai I know if you read my earlier posts I have mentioned that focal speakers in general are considered better than the Alpine ....but in amplifiers I am firm in my belief that Alpine are better for sure....and this is after auditioning both the amplifiers....and confirming it with many friends abroad as well......

It is quite interesting that other posters (again if you read the above ones) kind of share the same view..............

I guess you have to hear the PDX F6 and see the capabilities of the M12 before you do a judgement on them..........A guy whos car I helped set up liked the alpine amps over the focals as well.......

so I guess each person have their own tastes.....some like it hot as they say others cold.........

for me focal speaks are better but alpine amps are another world........

I aint beind biased...I had both amps in my car just based on my experience....i prefer Alpine......aint a crime.....just my taste......my two and a half cents...

Sir PS 165 are award winning speakers, they got potential that's y they got the response from judges. Regarding yellow cone (kevlar) focals i tell u something interesting. I agree their tweeters are bright, the reason is kevlars have an amplified response compared to PS throughout their frequency range. The catch here is that kevlars are not meant for jus plug and play like other brands. They perform best when tuned with a processor and when that's done, trust me they are one of the best speakers in the world.

no worries.... thats why your earlier post did not make sense to me....because I believed that if you had read my earlier posts on this forum I myself had said that focal speakers are considered better than alpine and that they are known primarily for the speakers.....anyways its all good in the hood........we are clear now.....

I know about the dynaudio brand. I respect your opinion which is why I was asking you about them....am abit undecided at the moment........just do not want to spoil the sound I am getting at the moment by disturbing anything.....going to get some speaks maybe now maybe later...doing all of the R and D now..... its good to be back.....
