i am also looking for santro.. but it hard to find good one in karachi...i want to know the resale of santro is good or not...i saw one 2007 model with 50k run without CNG he is asking 550K should i go for it...good condition....pls help!!

@mirfaizan dont know about Karachi market but 550k for an 07 sounds good, If it has no major accidents/ repaint then i believe you are good to go.

Hello guys,

I have purchased Santro Exec 2005 with 88K mileage, Islamabad registered. Very good condition for 570K. There are few things to replace like Clutch plate, and tires.

Please suggest me following.

[*]What things I should get serviced?
[*]What tires are good? I heard 165/55 R13 something like that are good for Santro.
[*]How much will Clutch plate + bearing will cost?
[*]Please recommend me a good mechanic or Hyundai authorized workshop in Islamabad.

About tyres, I bought dunlop manufactured in 10th week of 2011, 165/65/13 and the cost was 18,000 for 4 tyres. I purchased from blue area, you would probably get slightly cheaper from pindi. Due to roza & other engagements, I just didn't have it in me to go to pindi & do khuwari.

All above things if you could spare a Sunday, take apart all seats and remove carpet, spare wheel from the boot, clean/ wash the carpet, clean the upholstery, wash you car with a good car shampoo and polish it. Clean the car interior roof, dash board doors etc. The reason behind all this intensive cleaning and doing it yourself is, to get to know your car inside out. When you wash the car and clean the interior you are able to see all hidden parts that you normally don’t see. When you polish it you see the body condition closely which you can’t at the time of buying. Before you put your carpet and seats back take a good look at floor for rust, check all the rubbers and wiring for safety. Tighten the nut and bolts securing the cylinder seat belts etc. Now when you are done, you will feel that you know your ride very well and will feel good to drive and won’t hear many squeaky sounds you were hearing before.
