i went to update the software updater first .
go to samsung pc studio installation an look for FUSUpdater.exe. it will update the updater software then check again

regarding , sound quality, it was also meaty and crisp, not like some shrilly sound, when headphones are used, its a complete different story. brilliant , 5.1 channel, high bass sound, loved it. FM radio was also clear and lour even with loudspeaker. I will post a comparison with n86 as i previously owned that.

i personally love this omnia HD.its a very beautiful piece of tech.but all am saying is that tech is moving fast day by day.about omnia 2 (i8000) its 31g lighter than (i8910), got resistive touch screen as compared to old capacitive screen of (i8910) in which u cant operate fone without ur fingers,480x800pixels screen as compared to (i8910)360x640pixels screen,bigger 667mhz processor as compared to 600mhz (i8910),dedicated graphics accelerator as compared to (i8910)sgx graphics,got windows mobile as compared to (i8910)symbian os,improved talk time i.e 10h (2g)(3g) as compared to (i8910) 10h(2g) and 6h(3g) ,smaller dimensions like 118x59.6x11.9mm as compared to (i8910) 123x59x12.9mm.
now tell me why did u say that omnia 2 is nothing infront of omnia hd ?

your right in ur own way, i basicaly hate window fones and i luv symb9ian fones, and thats y i m inclined towards omnia HD, n omnia 2 has 5 mp camera, where as omnia HD has 8mp with face detection n blah blah.
Omnia HD is best video recording fone till now, u can go to gsm arena n read their official review abt this.

Bro I have seen samsung omnia 2 also , its great but somehow i feel that windows is not going anywhere specially with touch optimization (though i had omnia i900) . yesterday an article came that windows support for capacitative screen will come in february 2010. its quite late. Iam now considering HTC Hero as i feel android will eat all the other OS in future, the customization , response.ease all other features are superb. BTW i may have my hero by the end of this week then i will be in a better position to judge..

N86 still photo was bright as the 3rd generation flash was too powerful for a completely dark room. i8910 flash is not that bright, the view finder show some dim light but somehow when you take the snap, the snap comes out quite good. perfectly focused and sharp colors.
BTW samsung i8910 won EISA Award

2.Excellent Sound.
3.Superb Video Recording ( with new firmware IG2 or H1).
Good Camera.
4.Good Battery ( approx. 3 days with normal use, approx. 1 hr for charging).
5fast response.

Cons:
1.Little bigger than normal touch phones. E90 pouch perfects fits for this phone.
2.Finger print magnet .

orange omnia complete sctachless would be in 40000-45000
i would suggest not to buy orange omnia if your are not into modding. Problems that you may face with orange omnia.

1. First you have to debrand to get new firmware updates.
2. No tv out cable with orange package.
