its really not worth noting if there is any fault. many vitz imported don't even have an airbag. Plus everyone is comfortable driving the local crap, with no safety features, this shouldn't be a problem.

i think you misunderstood, all vitz are supposed to have an airbag, but many are either stolen or not replaced when they are imported.

it purely depends upon the auction grade of the vehicle. its NOT AT ALL necessary that every used Vitz is equipped with a PROPER FUNCTIONAL AIRBAG!

have they recalled yaris/vitz from Pakistan? i think they should...because this is a serious matter.

They have not because all the companies do that through their dealerships and in pakistan it is not launched officially through their dealerships and indus mototrs so no one claim the recalls.vitz here are imported by individuals from japan so no claims.

i want to buy a swift or vitz but vitz is not safe and it can get fire very easily and it is underpowered and poor breaks than swift so now i think i should buy brand new swift as it is fast

Well i had the same experience but after reading this thread, i came to know what was the reason behind it. A friend had accident in vitz. We found few burning marks on his arms and also few spots of his clothes were burnt. Couldn't figure out till now what was the reason behind it.

Now i know, how do they do it

Dear...i want to tell all through this PW forum that i bought a 1300 cc vitz 2005 model and while driving it caught fire from inside. i saw smoke coming out of the area where gear lever is...i quickly stopped the car..came out and within minutes it was burning in flames. This happened in front of COMSATS in islamabad. and by the time Rescue truck came it was burnt from inside completely......Thank God it was insured....i lost about 1.5 lakhs but still happy to get some money back.

CONCLUSION:NEVER VITZ AGAIN........

o my god this is crap.when people say jdm is safe its a crap.nothin important than our life what will then airbags do when fire will evolve.its better to buy a zero meter suzuki swift will a powerfull engine and attractive looks
