Why doesn't one of you try to contact the owner/creator and restore this car?. It would be a great project and also an effort to restore a small , but significant part of your country's automotive history(i say this only because this car was born out of someone's creative vision).

It seems like a single cylinder 200cc big bore engine, cos would need quite a bit of torque to move with 4 people. It probably was a good choice as if it was a twin cylinder, it might not have been that torquey, anyway, it lasted for 10 years!!!

But apparently it is still in one piece and is being restored (The original blog where i got the story from, says "The car is in pieces now, as it is in the initial stages of being restored by AO & KO. The color is going to Ferrari red, as it used to be when originally made."

I don't know why it hasn't been brought up, but Bilal Chaudhry, who is a PakWheels member, made his own car. It's all pipes and a flat frame, but it's a running car with a 4A-GE (FE?) powertrain. I wonder if he got his desi Ariel Atom registered? :^)

Pakistan is still good, and plenty of good people about everywhere. We usually only notice and complain bad people thats all (including myself too), and appreciate the good ones very little.
There are some very good engineers, and very creative people, and I know quite afew in Lahore (at least) who modify engines/ change gear boxes etc.
But it is true that in those days people had a bit more time on their hands, while now, we focus on "new" things, like movies, earning even more money than we already have, etc etc and dont have much time for our hobbies.

We probably do have many more people like that, probably just keeping a low profile, and not appeciated by the govt or private companies, thats all.
