All the best sir! The photographer is impatient to get his camera on your other collection after the Range Rover and the serious Gunnery!
Yours truly,Fahad Mehmood
What a very nice comment, Fahad! Thank you. At present, the Impala is getting some much-needed interior TLC, and from what I've seen so far, the result will be stunning, Insha Allah. In all, it should take a couple of days for the vehicle to be ready, following which I'll be sending it to Lahore (and in the custody of Usman) hopefully by the coming week.
In the meanwhile, I've got a few stencils off the internet for the flame designs. It should be fairly easy to draw them onto the car with a water-soluble marker, and mask off the areas to be preserved, with masking tape and plastic sheets. This would leave the outline of the basic flame design itself. Some primer/basecoat, some red and black paint, and some clear coat...and some painstakingly deliberate pin-striping...followed by some polishing/cutting/grinding to "merge" the finishes...and we should be good to go. Which, of course, will be backed up by inviting the Photographer for another extended session with his magical lens!

Looking Lovely MASHALLAHNow that something to play with B.O.L for the future upgrades
The "retro" flames in the first and second pictures are EXACTLY what I want! That would fit in beautifully with the overall "period" look of the Impala
I would recommned you to go with a combination of grey, metallic blue and red flames ....... will be awaiting for some stencil work pics
The interior is a beautiful bright-red and black affair...so I'd like the flames to incorporate that colour scheme, primarily. Plus, the front chrome on the '65 would look even more prominent with a red-painted nose. So I'm thinking more along the lines of a bright red nose...with flames that taper along a slowly-darkening gradient fill (bright red to crimson to maroon...to black). The Alternative to this, is a very bright silver to dark grey gradient fill on the flames...possibly with black pin-striping. The red-to-black fill would certainly be "in your face". The silver-to-pewter fill would be much more subtle. But both would look kind of hot, I'm thinking.
Thanks for contributing!
but from where you would get that paint done...?
Main hoon na...
(bright red to crimson to maroon...to black)
IMO this will add more value to ur muscle car ......... (H)
