Update
What I was fearing...has happened.
The "Perfectionist" kicks in. Not entirely satisfied with the results of the flame-job...I've enlisted the support of some specialists to put the beast right. The red of the vehicle is somewhat blotchy. It appears too uneven and prone to patches. Except with the colour black, this is a result that will invariably be seen with rattle-can spray paints. Sooo...we're doing it the right way. With a proper spray gun, this time. I was going to call the painter to do the bottom shield of the vehicle anyways...so we might as well give it a smooth coat of pain, again, I thought.
For the flame tips, they're going to be redone, by hand, by an artist who has perfectly grasped the essence of what I want from the car. The outer grey-black flames are going to pinstriped in white...while the inner red-black flames are going to be pinstriped with a lovely, lustrous gold. I think the effects should be quite stunning, later on.
Of course, after these processes (we're painting today, and pinstriping tomorrow), we're going to give it a rub-down to get it nice and smooth. Following which we lacquer the car. All told, we should be through with it, by late Tuesday / Wednesday.
Keeping my fingers crossed!
Of course...pictorials will follow.
