FOG ALERT! Driving in fog when visibility turns bad

Dear Fellows

I am taking help from my Sygic on Galaxy Tab fixed on my car screen, but i only check it to see the turns of roads and any intersection coming. if you have one use it BUT DONT totally depend on it or distract from road.

A query does yellow light really help in fog? Thinking of installing yellow HIDs (3000K) in my ride fazal bhai wat do u say? They r not halogens or anything just xtra lights of fielder 2006

Yellow are ok. But HID 3000K will be no benefit. Fog lights are basically to lit up edge of the road only.

Well not in helogen. It will be scattered. I mean the light will not beam on the ground and dazzle oncoming traffic.

Mostly all after market fog lights are helogen reflectors. These are small in size with HID It will not benefit. The article I linked above is long but a good read.

Denial stern is consultant to department of transportation on automotive lightning.

shear fog lamp types, n witch can help better, i put hids in fog lamps & also in head lite, witch give great view in fog what you people say......???
