AOA,

guys i recently installed fog lights in my city 2011, the ones with genuine fitting.

reference pic :

the problem is that the beam the foglights produce is going sideways, i was expecting the beam of both left & right foglights to converge in front of the car, but instead the left foglight is aiming at extreme left of the car and right one aiming at extreme right of the car, very less light comes infront of the car.

is this how the fog lights work(going sideways) ???

OR is there a problem in my foglights ???

Fog lights are supposed to focus on the sides so you can see corner fo the road. Frint focusing lights are head lights which are to be used at low beam in fog, and should be adjusted a little down to show the road better.

you can divert Fog light only if you have projector fog lamps.

well if the fog lights are aiming on the sides, what use are they in fog ? in fog one need to see what is directly infront of the car :S:S.........

Fog lights nechay ki taraf ko travel kerti hai. jabkay headlight uper ki taraf ko.. aur fog main jitne light uper ki taraf ko hoge utna hi nazar kam ieega.. thats the reason y we get even bad view in High beam :).

brother nechay ki taraf ki to samajh aati hay but jo maximum light sides ki taraf nikal rahi hay us ki logic samajh nahi aati.....
