What is your opinion about Series Land Rovers converted to Defender in Mandi Bahauddin?

How do you compare leaf spring vs coil springs in deep mud and sandy nullahs of Jehlum? Which one is better?

Saad i think leaf spring can take more load than coil springs but while off-roading coil springs give a lot more smoother ride than leaf sprinf ..so go for one..whereas mandi bahaudin conversions are concerned i don't trust them at all....

@sajjid bhai this is D90 u asked for if u look at the pic of coil springs thaty r from scorpionracing and the shocks are DeCarbon Gas shock both are rally specs...on the rear side below u can c the anti roll bar which we did it our self for stability......It has been all polbushed...The alloy wheels are those which u can c on the white defender next to it....if u have further questions do call..

i think the rims are called "freestyle" (code ANR1689)

Yar these cars were here all the time ...i think i should get some pics of the rest of the "Landies" we have...i mean among my friends..the lamp guards are there which will b screwed back after its body work and paint job....

Arid bhai Mandi bahaudin is the place where u can find most of Land rover USED parts in Pakistan but where as conversions are concerned for eaxample in ur case u wanna convert a series into defender than i should tell u some thing that u can convert the looks of a series into defender which is very easy but converting the suspension i mean leaf springs into coil springs is one hell of a job and for that u need precision in exact measurements and very high tech equipment which u cannot even think of here... i have seen a few conversions which after a while started giving problems..like something from the chassis broke because it was weldded at Mandibahaudin and caused an accident...frankly speaking an year back some of the ppl came over to deliver some parts for my gone D90 and when they saw it they asked my mechanich to modify one for them if they would have been so good they would have never asked my mechanich...second of all i don trust those ppl as i have been dealing with them....well if u want to u can get a defender from auctions of WASA or Wapda in Lahore or Agha Khan Trust in Chitral and Gilgit and modify it to ur own desire which ur pocket allows..

if you get a landy with leafs leave the leafs in it,... coils are a luxury and tend to dislocate under extreme angles unless you have a spring relocator fitted to your ride.

1- You got it wrong I dont wanna convert a series to a defender. I was just asking about Mandi coz I have heard a lot about it.....one good point you told me is that they are good for parts......thats one problem solved.

2- Can you tell me more about the auctions you mentioned...how to get more info about those ? and how much would a defender 90 cost approximately in one of these auctions ?

What engine & drive train combination would you suggest for a Series 110 to attain good pick and highway speeds.

Also shed some light on power steering conversion?

Bro i think u should get a hard top 110 between 4and 5 lacs in a good conditionand whereas the engine is concirned i think 1kz-t (not the te)is the best option and u can get a good engine with housing between 80-90k rs. Whereas power steering is concerned all u need is a good mechanic which is very important and a good used power steering pump which u can get for 10-12k rs from mandi bahaudin..but make sure that it should b in good condition. If u don find a 110....lemme know.
