Hamilton 1 second down the pace of the red-bull in Q1.

It's mighty close between the top ten drivers if you look at their Q2 times. If that is taken as a true reflection of the pace of these teams, Toyota seems to be the second quickest car out there, and would have started from P2 had this been 2002 and earlier or had it been 2010. That's how it should be, the fastest driver, fastest car starting ahead of others, and not people who short fuel to get a good grid slot. Luckily, we will get rid of this stupid qualifying system after this year. The Ferrari, Renault and BMW are pretty evenly matched at least on low fuel, although i would argue, it's more the skill of Alonso and Kubica which has put their cars up in the top 10.

Waiting for fuel loads to be released, but Vettel looks lighter than Button, who in turn looks lighter than Rubens.

Well Alonso is going to be the lightest of them all and both Ferrari's are heavy. Vettel is lighter then both Brawns while Button is heavier then Rubens, Kimi is heavier then Massa and the surprise peformance by Trulli is also done on the same fuel load as Rubens. Car weights are here

Thanks for posting all the news and the car weights. In the few races we have had this year, the fuels predictions have not turn out to be true in as far as saying which driver is running the lightest. I think it was Bahrain or some other track this year where Alonso was said to be running light, might have been Spain, in the end he pitted on the same lap as Button, lap 17.

What one can deduce from the weights is that Button should win the race tomorrow if he has reliability and it's time Rubens should stop talking about his world title. Rubens needs to make it into second place exiting turn one tomorrow, ahead of Button to have any hope of finishing ahead of his team mate. If Button keeps his position at the start, he will jump Vettel at one of the stops.

Btw any idea who is using KERS and who is not?

About KERS I think Ferrari and Mclaren are using it while BMW have first ditched it for this race and then for the whole season the only team which I am uncertain is Renault. Vettel is being told by the race engineer after he takes the pole position that "the KERS Ferrari is on sixth and that is good news for us."

Well it takes a true champion to face the tough times. The problem with Hamilton is that he won too much too early due to reasons not necesarily reflecting his skills in any way. his true test has now begun and he has been failing miserably so far and it shows in his performances. It seems Heiki has more faith in this team and this car than Hamilton, Hamilton seems to be on a self destruction mode these days and I dont see him to be working with McLaren to develop next years car like Schumi and Alonso did. Its easier to move to a better team but takes a true champion to be involved in the painful process of developing the car. i am pretty sure he will be in Barichellos seat for next year.

I hope either Vettel or Barichello win tomorrows race and Button develops some reliability issues tomorrow (its about time isnt it) :PI want the race to the title to be whole lot closer.

Can any one please tell me which channel no. i can watch tommorows race on Comcast? it seems SpeedTV will not be showing next three races.

Litespeed to use Lotus name for F1 bid

Litespeed has announced that it will use the historic Lotus name for its attempt to enter Formula 1 next season.

So, some old names under new management wants to return well Brabham have some legal hurdles to settle but MARCH and Lotus are authorized entrant for the next season. Max have played it very well if the last decade or 2 old teams leave he will have the some of the old and legendary names to replace them. I am not a supporter of Max but he is making a stale mate for FOTA.

Hamilton is not getting the right tools or is it the " right tool" with Ron Dennis not there:S Sorry, but Brawn GP is not going anywhere next year. They took 18 months to make this car, with all of Honda's might, 4 wind tunnels working 24/7 and had two top teams locked in the title battle till the last race, and Renault too busy developing their car to please Alonso till the last race. It won't happen next year, provided there is F1 next year. Ferrari will in all probability on equal terms, if not quicker than Brawn GP by the end of the season. On low fuel Renault is about 3-4 tenths behind only, BMW, with Kubica is closing in. I hope he, Hamilton goes to Brawn GP next year, and try different tools for the season or is it "tool" of Ross Brawn's:S

I think it happens every year. Speed does not have the rights to 3-4 races. Usually it's around this time of the year when North America would have it's two back to back races. That deal still seems to be in place and ABC or NBC, don't remember which one shows it, usually does late at night. If you can't find a solution which i am afraid you wont, you will have to go to the link provided by genius83;

Button wins again, and damn it KESC have played a trick on me after having 2 loadshedding free days the loadshedding virus struck in afternoon today and carrying it till after the first 20 mins of start of race and then again gone after the end of the race for 10 more mins. How Vettel loose the lead?? is it at the start or during the first few laps.

Thanks bro, for the clarification. Now the thing that is worrying is that Adrian Newey's design upgrade is good but it is still missing the speed needed to overtake and specially with DD diffusers cars are now not able to drive as closely as it was possible in the start of the season.

Vettel surprised by strategy decision

Sebastian Vettel said he was surprised that Red Bull did not alter his strategy after he lost the lead to Jenson Button on the opening lap of the Turkish Grand Prix.

Now this news is surprising and also raising some questions, What RedBull team have to do to gain the extra speed duing the start and Do they need a better strategy maker in the team or not.
