Motor bikes have a fanatic following in Spain. Before Alonso arrived and changed everything in Spain, the GP used to be full but nothing like the crowds that would turn out to watch Moto GP, as it is known now. Crowds of over a hundred and twenty thousand plus in the days of Alex Criville. They have Loreza and Pedrosa now, both running at the front and on factory bikes. Makes perfect marketing sense.
