F1 fever is beginning to sweep the entire country and promo events and media coverage everywhere. This Airtel promo was at one of the malls in Chennai and three guys won grandstand tickets, airfare and hotel in New Delhi while i was there. Lucky them. Ofcourse you have to be good at video games to win at this.

lucky guys, there's only one place to be in circuit, either grandstand or the pits.. good.. did u try that simulator?

Does anybody watch official race edits from Formula 1 from this thread? Well i've been downloading them got all from 2009 , 10 and 11 season.

i do.. music is usually good .. discovered a few bands from those vdos

I don't know whether the track is fast or not but one thing is certain the track quite different from what we have from Tilke on previous occassions. The run offs are small as compare to other tracks and there is some elevation change too, there is more natural grass then artificial grass. Also the track is narrow in comparision to other modern tracks. This track is most certainly an example of new level of thinking by Tilke and Bernie.

yeah, thats very unlike Tilke.. looks fast and hopefully encourages overtaking..

I have downloaded them but lost them after hard drive malfunction, so I also need them. As for how you would share, don't put it on YouTube because these are official race edits so they will get deleted on copyright basis and your YouTube account will be closed for violating copyrights rule. So try to put them in a folder make a rar or zip file and upload it on any file sharing website.

Also, tell me do you have the official F1 season review video which was shown in FIA Gala last year, if yes I need that too.

We have overtaking this season so the track will provide overtaking oppurtunity without a doubt. The only question is would it provide entertaining racing or not, if it does then the future tracks that will join the F1 circus in next 3 to 4 years will follow the same pattern of track design. So, this track is a testing phase for future tracks development.

Also, can anyone tell me whats the best time they have done on this track, just to get an idea of what kind of lap times we would expect in the upcoming inaugural Indian GP.

true.. and also i think there is some regulation of some sort by FIA for new tracks to support overtaking.. something like that, i can't remember exactly..

and sorry, no idea about lap times..
