Just because he has 12 penalties in 12 races doesnot means he is a bad driver especially if some of the penalties are for gearbox changes and pit lane speed limit. Pit lane speed limit penalties are the most stupid because most of the time they never speed more then the allowed speed in the pit lane but still get caught for speeding as they have entered in the pitlane a bit later then the pitlane entry point. Pitlane speed limit is not about speed but rather distance covered in x amount of time and then they calculate speed, so if they cut the distance the amount of time also cuts and the speed increase making them culprit of speeding in the pit lane.
Also, gearbox penalties are something you can't blame on driver because some of the times teams changes the gearbox after a driver crash in practice as a precaution to have a clean race.
Maldonado's other mistakes are mostly for me racing incidents apart from his swerve at Perez in Monaco even when he did the same thing to Hamilton last year in Spa was acceptable as Hamilton has blocked him on the hotlap. I have not seen his crash today because I think it was not shown on Star Sports at least but my guess is he crashed because of different braking distance between Williams and Marussia plus he most likely have some damage from his early spin at the start crash.
Because of his jumping the start he was able to avoid the mayhem otherwise he could also be involved in the pile up and could easily take another one or two drivers with him.
I have no problem with Kimi not winning he was still on the podium making it his 7th podium finish here in Spa. Also my prediction that RedBull will be on the podium came true and the lead cut down significantly too.
Hamilton is showing sensitive information about his telemetry data on his twitter before the race start and McLaren asked him to remove it, and I have read on Autosport forum's Race discussion thread that when Martin Brundle asked Whitmarsh about are you worried about Hamilton?? Whitmarsh said I don't care.... before changing the subject. So his time at McLaren is almost over, even yesterday after qualifying he tweeted that I was using old wing while Button has new wing.
Also, Di Resta have met the McLaren people back around Silverstone at their headquarter which have started the rumours off him moving to McLaren.
