I don't think Hamilton has a good day yesterday, as he struggles early in the race when Stroll, Perez and Vettel were brilliant on wet tyres. And then he was lucky that the track don't get hit with another shower or he would need to pit for the new inters or wet.
And if the track was not wet and have the same conditions like Friday practice sessions, then mercedes was going to struggle for grip. So, Hamilton was lucky that Stroll was suffering with serious tyre wear because of front wing damage, Racing Point was afraid that Perez could also suffer the same if called in for new inters, Vettel have another bad Ferrari pitstop to allow Hamilton the amount of lead that he has at the end.
Mercedes wanted him to stop for new inters which he denied, while FIA allows DRS in the wet/inters condition otherwise those overtakes were not possible.
Overall, one of the best races of this era and a contender for the best race this season alongside Monza, Mugello, Austria and Silverstone 2. Especially, those concerns that were shown on Friday and Saturday because of newly laid tarmac that it would not allow drivers to show their skills and we may have more then half the grid retired and a lot of stoppages or safety car interventions were not materialized apart from 2 or 3 incidents and about 10 or so spins including Bottas alone involved in 6 of them.
