Lumia 535 is almost a year old now. They released new improved version of 535 which is 540. 540 is much better than 535.

Use windows insider app from Windows store to install window 10 preview. Windows 8.1 is too dull.

Yeah but why release such an awful phone in the first place!? I just really don't like the way Microsoft does things.

Still no official statement out from Microsoft but I'm hearing rumours suggesting that 92x 'might' receive the update... Meanwhile, there're many who don't believe it.
Well, To me, If a 3-4 year old Iphone 4S can be upgraded to latest iOS 9, I see no reason why a few year old WP flagship model can't be upgraded to 10!
Besides, it has 1GB RAM and several 1GB models with much lower specs like 4xx for example WILL surely receive 10.
In short, CHANCES ARE GOOD FOR YOUR 920. Just don't expect it to be upgraded to WP11, LOL!
Yes, low-spec Lumia looks quite shabby and have horrible displays. But thats the price of possessing a well reputed brand phone with quality hardware! Samsung's budget phones looks equally shabby, right?!?
Here's why: One can get a Qmobile, but all of them run on cheap Mediatek SOC's whereas Microsoft uses much better, reliable & power efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon SOC's! Hence, Samsung Galaxies last much longer than a similarly speced Qmobile or any Chinese Phone!
So do you want good fit & finish or do you prefer good hardware and battery life? It's a trade-off, bro!

They released an awful phone with touch issues, then worse they never bothered to fix the problems sufficiently. Even the very basic models of Lumia do not have those annoying problems that Lumia 535 has.

Even some Lumias were in Service centres for a month or even more because of parts unavailability, it happened a few months back, but now its fine.

surprisingly even not all 535 are same i have a friend and a relative using one and i often check with them how is it working any issues and they seem quiet happy with it, personally when i used it i didnt feel any issues in touch or performance played alot of asphalt 8 and football no heat up ither...

You're absolutely right. Earlier 535s had the touch issue, which was absent in later models... But Microsoft didn't just abandoned the earlier 535s though! They were quick to release a patch in just a month or so after the initial release. It wasn't a hardware related problem. It was a mere software glitch... A BUG! If someone is facing touch issues, feel free to PM me... And I shall post you the link ASAP.
Let's hope those upcoming 55x's learn something from their elder brothers aka 53x's and 54x's!

Please post the link, because some few Lumia 535, even a month old still have some slight touch issues, especially while charging or multitouch use.

Cleaning the display also helps a lot, if the display is touched by oily hands.

Even some poor quality Tampered Glass also reduce touch sensitivity and cause touch problems. Lumia 535 has Gorilla Glass, so there no need to use additional Tampered Glass on it, just a normal screen protector is enough.

Lumia 640 4G (non XL) has impressive specifications.

Front camera is not upto the mark (perfect for selfie haters), rest its perfect.

FDD-LTE band 3 (1800) is supported, but no idea about its 4G activation in Pakistan.

They say: "If we're going to spend 16k anyway, why not get a 'proper' Galaxy running Android instead?"
There's a reason Galaxy Grand Prime at 20k is Samsung's best selling model in Pakistan!
Hence, MS opted to offer only ultra budget Lumias instead...

Well Bro well said but actually lumias are still way behind coz I got two windows phones by Microsoft at home as well as grand prime so I think grand prime is still much more better, let me give you an example, I tried to search a new browser for Windows phone but believe me I failed to find a proper browser

That's true, there is not even Chrome & Firefox browser, surprisingly.

UC browser and Opera mini are there, but the UI and features are very simple. Even WhatsApp is so different and dull in dark theme.

Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge remain the only suitable choices for web browsing, which are sufficient for web browsing. Built in Data Sense is very helpful feature for mobile data users with limited bandwidth.

Windows 10 mobile and Project Astoria will hopefully fill this app gap, otherwise no hope for Windows Phone survival with this much app gap.

In Windows store, one may not be able to find his favourite app for some specific task, but there is always some alternatives out there for many things. So this atleast helps.
