instead of removing cat converter from car, use advanced search option of this forum ' How to clean cat converter ' & proceed with it

over a side note please understand no manufacturer is stupid to add a "useless box made of precious metals" to enhance fuel economy & performance of an engine.

O2 sensor becomes useless & transfer corrupt data to ECU in absence of Cat converter and CEL will pop often with variable fuel economy

From where does one get the CatCon 'cleaned' in Karachi? Whichever workshop I have asked regarding this issue, they've said that it's not possible to clean it, it can only be removed. This was the response I even got from Kamran @ Experience Autos.

google how to clean it, its a hit or miss on results depending on how bad your converter is damaged.

e.g. any cat converter that is damaged due to on the of the following is not reworkable.

1 - engine oil poisoning (injun aail kha raha hai)
2 - coolant/water poisoning (blown head gasket)
3 - misifiring cylinder causing raw fuel to enter converter - melts the ceramic and also dislodges the metals
4 - system running too rich (messed up fuel trims)
