A very helpful thread for all. I'm in the market for a Honda Accord CL7 preferably or the 9. Problem is my budget is around 1.3M and I was told by a friend here to look into the KHI market. Indeed the cars there, are in my budget but the problem is I'm at Peshawar. Could an ex-cl7/9 owner enlighten me on the car and the common issues to look for in these models?

Hello ,
Guys i need an advice, I want to buy my first car under 1 million rupees, Please recommend which car should i buy.

According to me i have these options;
Used Honda City 2007 -2008
Used Japaneese cars ( Vitz 2002- 2005, Alto, Mira)
New Cars ( Wagon R , Cultus , Mehran).

i think a used city is a good option. Do you guys have anyother option in mind.
Secondly i want to know , is it ok if the city has been run on CNG, and how does running on CNG effect the performance and reliability of City.

Dear Ovais

As a starter, i only recommend a manual pakistani car until and unless you become an expert driver..... afterwards you can switch to and automatic japanese car. I think honda city is a good option and if car has been used on CNG its not a problem, just make sure the car is well kept.

Sir i need a little bit advice.i have 2003 model mehran.
1.Body wise v.good
2. Engine wise good or so called normal
3. Tyre need to be changed within 3 months.
4. Work of hissa is required.
Sir i want to know that whether i sell my car as it is and brought a new mehran 2013 onward or make expense on the old mehran as tyres hissa and after one year might be engine work due. What ur sugession as currently i drive my mehran on petrol as shortage of cng. I planning to sell out my mehran as it is and buy a new euro efi 2012 onward .what u suggest and also tell the market price of my car as it is isb number.

Keeping in view the non availability of CNG i think shifting to a new car with efi engine is a good decision if you can afford ...... secondly because of EFI technology air conditioner works very well as compared to old mehrans ..... rest is upto you

while i was reading your description it seems like you found a good deal until i reached the last line " Color Wine red "
First of all the wine red color was never available in pakistani city .... it is called habanero red which is very very bad in resale. avoid to buy that car but if you likes this color then its your choice but still to keep your self safe buy it under 12.5 lac

Dear waseem

I think as a new driver and without any expertise of buying a used car its better to buy a new mehran..... The reasons are

A brand new car is a brand new car, you dont need to spend a singly penny for 3-4 years and there is no risk of break downs.
It has excellent resale in pakistan and due to inflation even after using it 3-4 years you will be able to sell it at a price more than our purchase price.
with new EFI engine it gives very good pick up and fuel economy
No risk of buying an accidented car or in very poor engine condition.

What other cars in 600-650k category could do around 14-15\l in isb driving
