i am planning to buy my first car in a week budget is 10 lac going to keep that car for a year and then planning on upgrading so need one with resale

my other requirements are

Automatic is a must
should have good safety features
should have security features preferably immobilizer if possible
should not be more than 10 years old as i dont want to visit mechanic any time soon
i can stretch my budget a little if required

If you are a new driver then go for a a Pakistani car first .... In this category corolla se saloon automatic 2005-7 model is recommended .... Otherwise go for a Vitz , passo or belta

thanks for replying. need to know few more things. any reason for not having JDM car as first car ?
other than the airbag se saloon has are there any differences between vti prosmatec 04-05 and se saloon 04-07 and which one has better features. i like both but dont know which features they have exactly.

As a new driver you need car with easy availability of parts in low cost ..... Secondly local cars are mechanic friendly and have quick and good resale ..... Once you become expert driver then you can move to Japanese luxury car
