aoa, excellent initiative....where is the best place to repair steering of Mehran? i had a shaky steering, on someone's suggestion went to Suzuki (humak road) ;( they told me that my existing steering can't be repaired so they have replaced it with a Kabuli version; with 1 month warranty!!! After around 3 months the problem is that there is a little vibration but the big problem is that (1) it is really hard and (2) when it is turned right even when back to straight the car drifts toward right, similarly after left turn when the wheel is straight the car drifts toward left. I've went to two alignment guys and they say there is nothing wrong with the alignment the problem is with steering...kindly guide...

i am going to karachi in 2 to 3 days and i want to buy there a car. and harib4u said that he bought 2005 city in 560k . so where i find suitable cars. as in multan where i from the dealers ask very high prices and when they buy they offer much lower

What I feel is your fan bearing need replacement and jerking at first is clutch and pressure plate issue. Replace......bro

Well, I checked it to the mechanic, he told me that one of the clutch plate is bended or loss its friction. Any good mechanic in Lahore or should I have to visit Suzuki Motor which i don't want to.

S touring nai h ...i think S led h . Because rims are not original 17" prius rims and steering is without lather

jerking is due to pressure plate failure or may be due to slipping of clutch plate fingers.
for making clutch soft you need to change the complete clutch cable.
for fan indirect you have to make sure your car is 100% fit and is not getting heat up

yes you can install break booster if you feel you need better brakes .... there is no harm in doing it.

First of all you have to make sure your car has no short circuit due to which its consuming battery even if its switched off .... secondly if you are sure that battery is only 4 months old then I think its lacking pure acid .... visit a battery station and ask the person to completely drain the battery water and replace it with 100% acid which they put in new batteries only ...... and if still battery is not working then get it replaced in warranty

First of all you have to make mind which car you want to buy specially between local and imported .... secondly from karachi you will not be able to buy multan registered car ... karachi regd cars have poor resale in other cities .... better to buy a car from lahore

if you dont have experience of buy car from khi , then dont go its not a easy job

yes there is hardly 2 % other pakistan reg cars 98% cars are khi reg in khi, n multan reg cars are 1 if 5000 available for sale there

isko ulta kar lo bhai, like ager ak khi reg car 7 lakh ki khi main hai to wohi car punjab main aa k 750 ki or wohi rwp/isb main aa k 770-80 ki ho jati hai, or ye investor or sale rate diff nai hai, 15-20K punjab main transport k lag jaty hen 18-20K isb/rwp transport k, 50-60K easyly bach jaty hen.

I am about to buy my first car. And I would like to buy a Civic. My max budget is 1 million rupees.

On PakWheels, one can find cars that with quite a huge difference in mileage

a) 27,000 km (Used Honda Civic EXi 2006 Car for sale in Islamabad - 997235 | PakWheels) to
b) 180,000 (Used Honda Civic EXi Prosmatec 2006 Car for sale in Rawalpindi - 1023089 | PakWheels)

I understand one is automatic and the other not but still the difference in mileage is huge

Can you please guide me

i) what kind of Civic, will I be able to get. e.g. VTI Orial with how much mileage?
ii) And if you can tell that after how many 1000s of KM the car needs a major service? and how much such a service will cost from Honda themselv
iii) How to check if Odo has been altered
iv) How much mileage will you call high and tell me to avoid the car
v) Given the shortage of CNS, should the car have a CNG or not as somene mentioned that CNG negatively affects the engine ( stupid question perhaps )
vi) What else should I check/ What questions should I ask the seller before taking the car to a mechanic for a final check

Worried at the time of your first purchase is a normal thing !!!!
Now coming to the point let me give some very simple tips while buying a car .... 1 . As per car manufacturing month and year .... assume a normal car's running is 30km daily ... since you are buying a 2004/5 model car, it will at least be over 1lac kms and in actual these cars are over 250,000kms these days so any thing below 1.5 lac km is confirm tempering .... secondly you have to focus on over all condition of the car .... a well kept car will be overall neat clean and trouble free ....

Now coming to your specific questions ....
1. A neat 2004 full option civic is less than 9.5 lac and a 2005 will range upto 10-10.25.
2. An automatic car needs periodic maintenance after every 40,000km
3. There is no way to check meter tempering
