All i have seen is hundreds of accidents of new corolla but the reason for failure can only be tracked through reverse engineering ..... its the duty of toyota company to find reasons for accidents which can be failure of design or failure of any parts .... cant guess exactly

As per market condition the price is high because in this price you can easily buy a good condition gli 2011 .... a gli in addition to xli has power windows, abs breaks and metallic colors .... my recommendation is to buy a gli but still if you think xli can work then max 13.75

Need an expert advice on car engine knocking especially in summers. As long as the car is cold, there is no knocking, but soon the car heats up, a slight acceleration with or with AC produces knocking.

Reasons -- Bad fuel mainly

What else could be the reasons for an engine to knock?

For consumption, car is 660cc K6A engine.

There is a fix duty structure according to power cc of the car ... the only depreciation or rebate is the percentage number that car is exactly the months old ... for example duty of a vitz brand new 1000cc is 7 lacs .... if a car is manuctured in june 2013 then it means it is 22 months old car so you get the 22% rebate of 7 lac

Only mercedez and bmw cars can be checked and tells original milage dispite of meters being reversed but unfortunately this is not possible in any other car .... believe me i never checked a car meter before buying any car .... a low milage well kept car will speak out for it self ... mostly car steering , interior and engine bay can tell you everything

Yes knocking is mainly due to bad fuel but other reasons are gear shifting , throttle body tuning and tight tapots
