Nai yaar, I myself want to switch to fully synthetic oil but 50 grade was stopping me from opting it, but now masroor bhai has also started using it in his car, so I think I should give it a thought as well..

Don't worry about 50 summer is coming and you also have 5 so basically you are covered from all sides due to wide range.

For performance cars they pour 60. So don't worry, it is not something like mineral 20-50.

i also experienced lightness in drive and better pick and fuel economy after 1st oil change from Toyota I9. I also switched to taglon 5w-50.

have switched to taglon 5w-50 in other rides too. its the best combination of performance, reliability and cost.

The improvement in acceleration (so called pick) and smoothness of engine sound is usually a good indicator. Although it is not technical definition of a better engine oil.

I do not drive a Toyota, however, I felt this drastic improvement when I changed my engine oil from Liqui Moly 10w-40 (Made in Germany) to Mobil 1 New Life 0w-40 (Made in France). LM is semi-synthetic and Mobil 1 is fully synthetic with cleaning agents. So technically Mobil 1 will always come out darker, since it is designed to keep cleaning the engine as it is pumps through.

I have parking in basement of my office, and when I am leaving, I have a steep rise of about 4 meters in short distance. I felt a huge push after the oil change, and the engine felt eager to take on the challenge. Similarly, the sound of engine became smoother after the oil change. This is more pronounced after a cold start.

Yes......I didn't kept 1.6.....but i have figures of 10.5 to 12.5 in Lahore city....On Motorway Lhr to Isd at 130km Cruise control it gave me 14 to 15.5km/L and going to my home town (Mianchanu) on NHA it gave me once 17.6 & recently 21.0 km/L (to my surprise) after first oil change (Taglon)....Round trip lahore to mianchanu and back it shows 18.7km/L with approx 500kms driven. (Highway speed remained between 80 to 100 with Cruise at 85 and 90km/Hr speed)....Surprisingly the time consumed both ways is 3.2 to 3.5 Hours......which is same if you goes at 120 / 130 km...with fuel average of 15 to 16 km/hours......I think due to hard breaking behind overtaking trucks and then accelerating the fuel average drops while the time consumed has a little difference.....

The averages that you mentioned here; are they are those averages which are shown on MID display or have you calculated them manually via full-tank-refill method? My CVTi gives 11.7 as shown on MID

MID but I cross checked all by refil method also.......a difference of 0.5 to 1km/liter.

MashaAllah nice ride , i want to ask are u satisfied by the dashboard qualtiy n side door plastic panels. . I also bought grande recently but its of early 2016 , these black plastics n dashboard quality really is a disappointment for me. .i am saying coz i have mostly used n kept jdm cars . . Otherwise.ride comfortable n drive all are A1

Well the dashboard and side panels quality is not that bad, though it can be and should be better. JDM's are another game.

I use Nanoskin, Meguiar's and Chemical Guys products for interior and these parts really stand out.
