M also having the feeling dat it starts using fuel frm da subtank whn i turn it on , have got a separate fuel guage for it

if you have a separate gauge then when you press the fuel button the fuel from auxiliary tanks is used...simple it doesn't shift it.

yes sir it has a separate guage for subtank above the rear view mirror along wid alt meter !

aoa , i have a querry filled the sub fuel tank of 80 seriesn pressed the transfer button , its lyt turned on but didnt notice any change in fuel lvls , kept it on for 30 mins ! how much tym it takes ? is sumthing wrong with the system ?

If accidently i left the hubs locked n disengaged 4wd n drove it wht r da concequences ?

Happens most of the time with me but if your rig is maintained well (front diff oil checked and changed on time+hubs maintenance) then nothing to worry about.
You probably didn't do anything but get bad mileage. If it is still engaging and disengaging & there is no grinding or howling you are good to go.

Alryt thnx , after hw much mileage to change diff oil ? Gear oil ?
Which engine oil will u recommend , whn to change ?
In a petrol engine v regularly clean the throttle body n plugs , wht abt diesel as it doesnt have plugs ?

diff & transmission i usually change after 25k kms.
engine oil i will recommend Delo gold,zic 5000,mobil..change depends on where you drive dust etc but i would go with the 3k mark.
you will find glow plugs instead of s.plugs so check them once a year.
