1. Daihatsu Rocky 83 had round lights, is this car front/body changed, yoru car's front is of early 90s?

2. Is it a government auction car or a customs auction?

This is police auctioned jeep - redone by a friend of mine.

Actually he is selling it and I am interested; both of us have a deal that whatever he will get from market, I will pay him.

No doubt Dihutsu Rocky is a very hard core offroad machine.
I owned one for 2 years & did many hard core offroad tours like Naran,Sharan,Saif Ul Malook, Babu Sir Pass,Batogha Top,Astore,Deo Sai,Ali Malik Pass & Skardu tour on it.
Rescued Land cruiser with my rocky in deo sai, rescued many jeeps stucked in mud with her....But there is always a market value, fuel factor and seating capacity.Fair price according to model & condition of the vehicle.

I had a Dihutsu Rocky Model 1987.
First of all let me tell u I got a turbo diesel one & yours is a non turbo diesel engine 2800cc very heavy on diesel.
And what type of gear this rocky got 4speed or 5 speed?
More over the price tag is sky high...I am pasting few pictures of My 1987 model Dihutsu rocky auctioned by Sui Northern Gas Company Isb registed mint condition & I sold it for 365K (all total genuine).
Your Rocky is a body change one as this interior,front not comes in 1983 model
In my opinion u offered him a fair price.Remember I sold my rocky in 2007 when Diesel price was less than Rs:50 a liter..

A friend of mine poses a similar 1986 Dihutsu Rozky like my one but Non A/c, ,Non Turbo engine..all stock but mint stock condition rocky.Its a FWO auction vehicle and currently is in Sarai Alamgir (Dist Gujrat).
If u like it he is asking for 350K (negotiable) but I assure you I have never seen such a genuine condition Rocky.

Now dear please note that both above mentioned Rocky Jeeps are way better in condition that the one u pasted,Upgrade in the model & way low in the price.

And I am sure about that the one you are interested in is a body change:) as the specs,shape & lights Bonut & front wont came in Rocky 1983 Model.

my dear its a typical case of illegale body change it appears infact Toyota Blazer with 2L Engine 2400 cc.. u can check and verify the shape of 1983 ,1982 Dhaihatsu jeep which is altogethr different. its chassis numbr or frame may also b tempered.. .

Wouldn't ever matter to me as long as MTMIS website and FIA confirms the legal status of this jeep

Secondly, please google it up, you will see this 'is' how Daihatsu looked like back in 80's.
