@imran21pk: please look up and compare the prices of other Balenos listed on Pakwheels. Besides, the OP has every right to demand whatever he sees as a fit price for the car.

@balenosensei: don't sell it below 6.60 lacs. I have a Baleno myself and I have seen cars in much worse condition than yours with unbelievable mileages being sold for 6 lacs +. Best of luck!

@ammar_ffc: The only problem my own Baleno has ever given me is the patakhas problem once and that is caused by overheating coils. If the coils get damaged either by overheating or by water-damage from washing the engine, you should get them replaced. Kabli ones do not cost that much. My Baleno was Alhamdulliah fine afterwards. I run mine on CNG most of the time -- the car starts on petrol, of course, and switches to CNG after the engine warms up a bit.

If you like the car you have seen, go for it. Just make sure that its actual mileage is 24,000 km because for a car 7 years old, I find it incredibly hard to believe that the owner just drove it a mere 24 k kms.

Btw, @BalenoSenseie, you should have gone for kabli coils. You spent way too much money buying new ones from Suzuki. Anyways, best of luck with the sale.

^ a even better option is Suzukis Brand new coils and wires comes around 18K
in open market there sold for 16,000

Malaysia copy of the same set comes around 7000-8,000

The third option is the Pakistani/(or Chinese) in Pakistani packing avalible by the name ultima that set (2 wires 2 Coils) costs Rs.5000. I got that replace in my Baleno recently, and my car is again A-okay,

This time my car wasnt misfiring it used to give a missing jerk and the car wudnt start, u had to open the bonnet pull out one plug wire then the car started, mechanic said Coil sharrt hogae hai. Since i replaced the set with the Pakistani one my car is a-okay, more then 3 months im happy.

lol i was seriusly gigling when i saw this post and pictures. my baleno was for sale some days before this guy, keeping a Baleno for 5 years i noe what a gud Baleno luks like.

i thot i shud bug in but i didnt, and silently laughed at people saying "the best Baleno around"

The shine of the left rear fender said it was painted.

The front bumper and Bonnet dont have even-ness, there totaly outa shape. And look at thoose headlights.

Pirmahal bhai, I remember you very clearly. You are the one who came in the red 90's model corolla from Toba Tek Singh, didn't you?

A couple of things:
1) You can say whatever you like/want to say about my Baleno. Hell, you are even welcome to say that the car I showed you was a white 1984 FX. That doesn't change anything. I could tell you were not a serious buyer.

2) It doesn't take a rocket-scientist to properly read what I wrote in my description above. I mentioned there were two "touch-ups". Those two touch ups are on the left rear fender.

3) If you can prove to me either one of the things you said regarding the bonnet, front fender, trunk, back fender are painted, I'll give you Rs. 50,000 cash on the spot. You speak with so much authority on someone else's car with just looking at it for 5 minutes. If you had any sense of decency or common sense whatsoever, you would have bothered to stick around until I was back and then talked to me about it. I have had the vehicle since Nov 2004 and I think I know a thing or two more than about it than you can imagine.

4) Another guy mentioned something about the bonnet being painted. He had nothing to back up his claim. And ultimately, he backed down and admitted he was a dealer. I must be a complete idiot to get the bonnet spray-painted, without there being any signs of any denting, filling, putin layer(s) on the bonnet. What you mentioned in your post above is a classic dealer-esque technique to hammer the market's opinions about my car to suit your wallet. Well, that's not going to happen.

5) You forgot the last right fender, since you pointed out everything else to be painted. Heck, what did you think about the doors? You must have some doubt in your mind regarding the originality of the paint on the doors, right? It's a pity and a shame that you would throw baseless accusations at me without talking to me at the spot. I'd have been happy to tell you which part was touched and which was sprayed (the bumpers have been spray-painted once, completely).

Summing up, you should be seriously ashamed of yourself for making nonsensical bullsh!t about my post and my car. Again, prove any of your claims and I'll happily concede that I made anything up/hid any facts.

Great! Jump on the bandwagon of pirmahal without any proof. Tell me, do you believe everyone who says a thing or two about someone else? What happened to being objective and coming to your own conclusions after doing due diligence?

@chinyoti, of all people on PakWheels, I didn't expect that scornful and condescending reply from you. So since you have kept a Baleno for 5 years, that makes you an expert on my car by just looking at a couple of pictures?

The left rear fender is perfectly untouched except for the part exactly to the front of the back right wheel's center. I clearly identified it to be touched-up (kalam) in one of my posts. I even explain how that happened. If you live in Lahore, prove me wrong and I'll give you the same Rs. 50,000 cash I promised Mr. Pirmahal above. The "shine on the back fender" that you speak of is from the flash firing from my Canon while I was taking the pictures.

The front bumper is spray-painted and so is the back. They were bought from Suzuki Sethi motors. Then painted white (sprayed multiple layers) and then fitted on the car. Prove that they were ever in an accident, I'll give you the said Rs. 50,000 cash as fine. Also prove me the hood/bonnet is dented/painted whatsoever, again, I'll accept my defeat and reward you.

You do realize that once a bumper is removed and re-attached it won't fit as cleanly with the fenders and the bonnet as if it were when the car was zero-meter?

And did you just suggest something was wrong with the headlights? Seriously? Bring you Baleno around and I'll take you to a car wash. Then I'll have them steam-wash the heck out of your engine bay (from underneath, while on the lifter and not a full-on assault from above). And then I'd like to see your reaction when moisture condenses on the headlights and stays there for the next 12-24 hrs. You know, the parking light bulbs are never an airtight attachment to the headlight body and I have seen many a Civics and Corollas with the same moisture condensed on the inside which goes away in a day or two.

Guys, its not good to start abusing someone's car on the basis of sterotyping. Pirmahal might have formed his opinion based on his experience, which might be right or wrong. The seller has posted his cars pics from all angles, which is a plus point. If you are a potential customer, why not have a visit and conduct a detail inspection alongwith yours experienced denter/painter. Either you will end up in a good deal or you might claim Rs.50000/- Its a total win-win situation but inspection with a qualified painter is must.

Bhai, I don't hold any grudge against you either. When you are in the market to buy a car, it's well within your rights to perform due diligence on a car you want to buy.

Here's what I can offer you: bring any denter/painter, basically someone you trust, down to me when you are in Lahore the next time and visit me. If I still have the car by that time, I'd be happy to take an objective opinion from you. If you are fully satisfied with what you are getting, then we can reach a deal, otherwise, I'd happily accept my error of judgement here and take down this post. Sounds fair?

I would suggest you to bring pakwheels member "cardinal" with you to inspect this Baleno again. Cardinal is a very experienced guy as far as Baleno's are concerned. He can give you a fair advice.
