my car gives 13 to 13.5 per litr on long journeys at speed around 100km/h
in city its mileage is very poor. its about 9 km/litr.
Any tip to improve this figure?

Check spark plug gap. It should be 0.7-0.8mm
It will improve the performance and fuel average too.

When did u clean throttle body and air filter last time?? Take ur car to a good mechanic for proper tune up. Ask him to deattach TB from manifold then clean it with carb cleaning spray. And check ur spark plugs condition too.

i did that recently but mileage improved only a little. it improved from about 13 to 13.5 only. now i think that thr may b some problem with some sensor. may b some sensor is not failed but has become weak but i dont know how to check it.

Assalamullikum I am a owner of a 2005 SUZUKI Baleno and it has done more than 270000km. Recently it was used to create white smoke in the morning and used to reduce its engine oil so o changed its piston rings and a bunch of other stuff.
But after all that still its reducing enhine oil so I suspect thats because of using the wrong engine oil type so can anyone please help me in figuring out the correct engine oil type for 2005 baleno jxr according to its owner manuel.

no black smoke. also not sluggish pic is great. sometimes it gives minor jerks at low rpms and when pressing race hard.

Scan car's ecu to find any error codes.
Suzuki ecu are very dumb. They dont show check engine light most of the time.

No, all pakistani balenos 1999-2005 came with the same engine that is G13BB (1300cc). The Baleno sport in Pakistan had 14 inch rims and a spoiler but the same G13bb engine.
If you're talking about different engine then there was a Baleno 1.6 GTi which people imported here. It had a G16b (1600) engine, which came with a distributor as opposed to coil packs.

Lahore My baleno 2003 giving without ac 7 to 8 in city and 9.approx in long drive. checked to many mechanics but they were unable to improve its mileage. is there any body how can suggest what to do for better mileage?? engine to smoke in initial startup occasionally, and then disappears after a while. plugs tip color are light brown.i Am very dishard of feul mileage.
