can any Vigo owner give me a rough idea of the diesel consumption of Vigo with and w/o AC

Does anyone own a Vigo with 2kd here? please share the consumption stats

At highways its 12~14kms/Ltr with A/C and local its 8~10kms/Ltr and going uphills its not more then 7kms/Ltr (Auto tranny).

well i have heard 2kd will almost be the same around 10-11km/litre average.

You are right, I have 1kd auto transmission it never crossed 9 kms/ltr. Its 7-8km/ltr in city and 9 on the motorway or highways.

my friend has one with 2KD, manual transmission. he says fuel costs slashed by 50% if compared to his LC 80's(which are 6 cylinder diesel turbo)

well these are some great figures because in city my 1.3 corolla does 7.5 with ac have precisely checked 2 tanks and it does the same:S

I have owned

kia sportage 2000cc
nissan patrol 3dr 4200cc 6cyl
pajero 1996 2800cc
prado 1996 (3 of them) 3000cc 1kz
surf 2001 1kd
vigo (2 of them) 1kd d4d
surf 2004 1kd

You people will be amazed that fuel average of all above mentioned vehicles is almost same give or take 1/2 km/l

In city all of above will give 6-7.5 km/l
In highways on topgear will give 10-11 km/l

thats the bottom line for this discussion.

the avg which i calculated on my vigo in city is 7.2-7.6 km/l max talking about auto, for manual i heard the avg is better

2KD vigo was marketed with the fuel economy slogan. and with manual transmission it does wonders even within city trust me guys!
easilly does 10+

I have manual transmission VIGO 2008 1KD-FTV 3.0 , FEB 2010 import . on highway diesel consumption is 12-13kms/Ltr with A/C and in city 11-11.5kms/Ltr with A/C. Never check with out A/C.
Manual transmission AVG is better then Auto transmission.
My cosion have 2006,09 import 1KD-FTV 3.0 Auto transmission Vigo, consumption IS 10-10.5 at Highway with A/C and 9-9.5 in city with A/C.
