Thanks also i want to mention that since i got the alignment done it mileage decreased and when i apply brakes my car pulls to left dont know what happened to it.

Never got the alignment done just got it checked few days back and it was fine from hong kong wheels blue area islamabad I have 205/65/15 pirelli p6 (worst tire ever) gets really hard in winters and keep 30 psi pressure.

After yesterday's filling meter was showing 12.5 and physically it came at 12.2 so I think meter is pretty much accurate

This mileage is within city offcourse without AC and with medium foot.

my Corolla GLi 2010 consistently gave average of 12km/litre in Islamabad City. My car has 205 Yokohama dB series tyres and I check the tyre pressures on weekly basis. I keep the tyres inflated at 30 lbs. Last week I had a discussion with a friend who also owns the same car. He is using stock tyres and gets the same fuel mileage.

just out of curiosity, I checked the Eco Challenge on my Garmin 2460LT GPS and I found there was something wrong with my fuel consumption. The Eco Challenge gives maximum of 99 points on best driving which includes parameters of braking, acceleration and speed, and based on that, gives an Overall Score.

Now based on the data on this GPS we can see the graph moving up and down. My car is used for dropping off kids at schools in rush hours and hence you can see downward dips. However, I try to use roads without congestion and there you see the upward spikes. Overall, the Speed score is not high despite my best efforts because of the inevitable stops and slow traffic.

there is Avery deep dip in the graph and that day I went to Rawalpindi. One of the friends from Rawalpindi posted claim of impressive fuel mileage, which makes me wonder how he did it

This average is based on past 5-6 days of data and the car stayed in the Islamabad city area with the exception of one visit to Rawalpindi. Just this morning, I noticed it was 13.5 km/litre.

how I achieved this improvement. Well, go easy on your right foot. Avoid rough braking, go for smooth acceleration and try your best to stay at 78-79 km/hr on your speedometer. After comparing with my GPS data, it seems that Corolla 2010 speedometer has substantial error. 78-79 on car speedometer corresponds to 71-72km/hr on the GPS.

I am am looking forward to my travel outside the city and want to check how far a light foot can go in achieving better mileage.

In continuation of my quest for better mileage, last evening I added a bottle of STP Injector Cleaner to full tank of fuel.

Recently went to lahore via gt road I was alone in the car achieved 19 kmpl but after gujrat it started coming down due to loads of traffic.

As I added STP fuel injector cleaner on Friday, there is some improvement in mileage. Yesterday and today, I went to Rawalpindi, and as per expectation got stuck in traffic several times. The reading has been consistently 13.6, and InshaAllah I am looking forward to further improvement when car is driven as per normal routine in Islamabad.

Brthr toyota 3s adjusted my car idle rpm to 800 on cng. Now cng is not available, on petrol rpm goes to 1400-1600. I cant understand the reseon?

so went on a long trip.total travelled 1130km which includes 30% motorway travel.
total fuel consumed 70 litre (~8000 rupees).
mileage = 16kmpl.
previously i was getting 14-15 kmpl with very light foot
