Alto shows 200kg maximum capacity.. Then how it will be for 4,5 persons ?

I think 200kg is limit for loading capacity, i.e. if you use this car as cargo van by folding rear seats, your cargo must not exceed 200kg. Driver and passengers are excluded! That's what I think

Plus if you take 3 passengers on rear seat, average weight per passenger should be 66.66kg with no cargo in boot!

Ok guys, here goes.

After careful analysis, I can confirm that the automatic Suzuki Alto run at a preferred speed of around 65-70 kms per hour with an average weight of 2 to 3 passengers at a time gives you about 17.5 kms without AC and around 16 kms with AC. This is when the car is run locally within the city. I have not run it on a long route yet. The city is Islamabad with better roads and less traffic, so the average in Lahore or Karachi would be less.

The reason I replied this late was that I wanted to run this over a few times before I can post a final message.

I wont be wasting my time calculating .5 kilometer.

when tank is empty just fill it up and dont drive uselessly. this will save yr money. when you drive you keep in mind certain amount over and above the required amount for fuel. nobody wants to drive around with less budget than required.

no Alto will run for Rs.50/- per week. You already know you need 3000/- approx for average commuting.

the reserve light does not illuminate at exactly 5 litres on the dot, Its a simple switch that is activated by the float level in the tank which itself can read wrong if the car is tilted or anything.

yes ur fuel filter clean the fuel...it can get wear out more by filtering in more dirt/rusted parts in the fuel tank...also ur fuel pump get weak or clogged too by driving more in reserve

i had been watching these cars on roads n every time i said to myself they drive it,floor it,use ac n yet they get 17km/litre n i get approximate 14km/kg but sure i dont keep it at 65-70(different car 1600cc),now it wont haunt me anymore

The point is, that a 1600cc would not give 17-18 kms per litre at any speed. I have driver a 1600cc for years and then switched to this one. Moreover, one can easily drive the 660 at 80 kms per hour and get around 16 kms per litre. It is only at around 90 and above that the average is significantly impaired.

Levin, the calculation period is over now. It is obviously sane to fill it up well before it hits the reserve mark.

I understand that but the reserve light turns off again once the car is tilted back on a straight road. Anyway, both the methods can be used.

the resevre light shows up in alto 2008 very early , same is the case with my friends mazda carol . . .
