My 3rd Deal thru PakWheels

I have made another "ON-LINE" purchase thru the courtesy of Pakwheels. The seller/importer was Babar Omar. I found him to be respectful, honest and responsible. This 660cc Efi ALTO is just wonderful. Very smooth ride, noiseless engine as compared to local Alto. I am quite satisfied with the car. Need to change the radio because Japan has FM upto 89 or 90. Also need to change tyres. They are 135R12!!

Has got ABS and SRS which even XLi doesn't have.

Will apply for registration in a day or two.

Well, Salarzae that will be THE day. I hope some day. Once Mr. Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi, a renowned poet was going on a motorbike with Mr. Ata-ul-Haq Qasmi, playwriter. A beautiful face crossed them. Mr. Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi said " Mashalla. Mr. Ata-ul-Haq Qasmi said "Inshallah" So I am pinning hopes on the later to happen. Anyway thanks for the comments. LOL...im glad that the car reached ISB safely, and you are very satisfied. I guess you must not have calculated its average yet hehehe :)...Im glad you found dealing with babar omar a +ve one, as i personally have complete trust in him too.

And yes, i guess this makes 2 cars from KHI...lol..khi rocks

I hope you managed to sell the maroon alto at a good price.

Thanks all. Yes, Akbar, I have yet not arrived at the fuel average. Total mileage, after tank-full, is just 40 kms. However the niddle is still there, at the top. I hope it stays there till 140 kms. And yes, its 2 cars from Karachi. But this one is from Japan. Another deal is in the offing, that too thru PW. Might be selling the Baleno to a cousin to buy a Corolla, 94 Model, green, IDF 8080, posted by Vajih. You might think I am crazy !!! The addiction is because of PW. Whom should I sue ? The red ALTO's advert would appear this sunday in local newspapers. Hopeful of its disposal. Have to payback the EFi Alto's borrowed amount.

U dont need to change the radio. Go to the car audit market. Buy a "FM KIT". It will cost rupees 100. get it attached and ur done....
And dont go for 2 wide tyres if ur looking for economy!

Hash, i honestly believe the tyres need to be changed. they're not wide enough..i think i little economy can be given up for overall safety and road grip.

@ Levin Sir the price Ex Islamabad is 565,000. Registration around 8000, tyres, 8000, CD Player 4000-6000. Total comes to half of my monthly salary.

@ Akbar. I have yet to see the Corolla. The owner is probably in Lahore. This would be for my parents to use, as was Baleno therefore any experiment of 20V is out of question.

@ Hash. I have tried that FM kit thing. It does not work properly especially when the signal is a bit weak. Secondly, you have to memorise which frequency stands for which channel. FM 106.2 might be 77, FM 101 might be 87. Secondly it has a cassette player. In this everything-on-CD age, don't you think a FM radio/CD player would be good option?

AS regards tyres I would be installing 155 or 165 max 12 size. Yokohama or Dunlop, white lettering.

Pakistani alto has so little to offer. yours has a defogger, srs, abs, efi

is a 660 cc engine fine as compared to 1000 cc of the pakistani version?

I think in terms of driving comfort, this 660 is much better than than 1000cc with Potohar Jeep engine.

i myself has an alto but never thought the driving experience would be so bad for me at least, just a piece of junk for 5 lac rupees ( the pakistani version at least) no offence to alto owners, its just that my experience with the car is very bad

and if you do want some value added things you will have to buy a 6 lac rupees cultus vxl without cng....... that's even worse....paying 6 lac rupees for a bigger piece of junk
