Future of CNG in Pakistan?

Asalam-o-Alikum all.
My uncle is in OGDCL. he was telling me that Pakistan has too much Natural GAS resources.but our Govt is not supporting in this regard.As for America also want to capture Pakistan Resources...and in near future CNG will be finish in pakistan.

All pakistani should unite and SAVE PAKISTAN...

gcng might give more mileage but car running sucks on cng..
so if cng goes anything near or above 70,its better to switch to petrol..!

Hello everyone, I just wanted to know what do you people think, will CNG be eventually completely phased out in a couple of years from Pakistan ?
I have heard a lot of people say this...

Dont go for cng these days?? any thing is possible within 2 years situation will be clear, when we, the people will decide.

It is expected that if CNG is not used a primary fuel for cars in Pakistan, our petroleum products import bill shall reach 26 Billion Dollars per year. Pakistani government cannot arrange that much foreign reserve with the current policies of trade. As a result, supply of petrol and diesel will get reduced which shall take their prices to unimaginable heights.
Eventually, people will have to return to CNG again or to quit keeping a vehicle forever.

Most of the thermal power in Pakistan is produced using Natural Gas so the Government is basically asking the people to either have less load shedding or cheap fuel.

I disgree that the petroleum imports will increase significantly because as it is, even with subsides, most middle class people can not afford petrol. If anything, it will bring the demand of small cars lower and wise people will be investing in more comfortable/efficienct public transportation area.

Basically, the Government is looking for quick fix soluton so they dont have to deal with the real problem in this term. This has to be the worst bunch to ever have control of Pakistan, their modus operandi is worst than the mafia.

yeah our gov want a trade off between b/w cng and petrol........industries uses cng and they want us to use petrol.........

petroleum importers dont want their bussiness screwed up so........they force us to use petrol and leave cng........but this wont happen..........

no offense but i think its more about affordability...you really think paying USD1 for a liter of petrol is very convenient for a nation with USD.1049 per capita....??....even at same prices, cng gives significantly better average....i don't think that driving on cng is a shameful act as most people perceive it....Don't forget we are the nation with most cng vehicles in the world....do you guys know why....cos it saves upto 60% of cost in both monetary and consumption terms...and that the best we can afford as a nation....thanks

100km/3.9l is enough or equal to cng and by that mean we can save gas for our industries which is the future of country not that cng vehical.. we have cheap labour and if have cheap electric gentrtn frm gas the new industries will be planted. And now cng is in almost each and every bus :s

What I've heard recently is that they will prioritise gas in Pakistan.

First on the list;
1) Ghrelo consumers or household and families.
2) Factories mills etc
there were 5 points, but I kinda forgot them lol
but at the end, CNG stations are on the list, Only if gas is leftover, so I think CNG will die out.
Hopefully Petrol/Diesel gets cheaper, and Pakistani manufacturers start making Hybrid cars
