the features highlighted in bold in your list are EXACTLY the reason why I found the iphone 4S a pain in the ***. Though I must admit it's dual core processor and faster GPU were snappy while gaming.
After a brief hands-on with Galaxy S2, I was ready to buy one but then when I saw Nvidia's next gen system on chip (SOC) presentation at mwc, I was impressed with their Kal-El soc, basically a quadcore cpu for cell phones. This year is particularly exciting to buy a new cell phone coz if you are in the market for a beast of a phone then you're lucky coz all the big boys will be releasing their quadcore's by the second quarter.
I'll be looking out for the following phones:
Based on Nvidia's Kal-El (Tegra 3)
HTC One X
LG Optimus 4X HD
Individual processors:
Huawei Ascend D Quad (a very promising competitor)
Samsung will be releasing 2 quadcores, both unnamed at this point in time, one will feature their new Exynos 4412 - ARM Mali-T604 1.5-1.8 GHz Quad-core based on the old ARM Cortex-A9 architecture
and the other will be based on Exynos 5450 - ARM Mali-T658 2.0 GHz Quad-core based on the NEW ARM Cortex-A15 architecture.
Samsung will also release a dual core with the Exynos 5250 - ARM Mali-T604 2.0 GHz Dual-core based on the NEW ARM Cortex-A15 architecture.
So in short Samsung will throw one quadcore phone based on their old (current) architecture and 2 NEW phones a dual core and a quad based on their newer tech.
I'll be going for the one with the BEST battery life and camera performance. (H) You choose your pick !
