Gear noise or what?

Yes in my Liana sound comes when I press & release clutch

there iz a bearing wich press pressur plat for shifting gear......when tht bearing dry or damaged its sounds like....khrrrr khrrrr .....u have to change bearing ASAP nai tu it will damge ur clutch plate and pressur plate....

IIIIII GOT.. u know guys.. when you drive your car in REVERSE gear.. ek awaaz aati hai with engine.. EXTRA SOUND ek aata hai... woooooooooo.. karke.. with the race..
i had the same sound but lighter than the reverse one.. reverse gear pe tu tez aati hai.. us may thodi slow aati hai..

this is the best i can describe till now..

had that in my mehran driving on low gears. absolutely hated it. Never got it fixed, sold the car after driving it for 3.5 years.

there is not a bearing problem bcz bearing noise comes when the car tires r running however u acc the car or not check gear oil....

alright bump..!! I got this problem again.. that problem went off itself.. but I don't know how come it started..
well.. whenever my sister drives the car, the very next time I sit in my car, i face that sound.. and it vanish itself.. and till am driving its good, and when my sister drive for a day.. it starts again..

and now that sounds is up.. really irritating.. it can't be the gear sound.. that sound doesn't come when the car standing idle.. it comes when it starts running..

you must be thinking, what kind of sound it is..
in simple words.. jab aap rear gear lagatay hain tu ek special sound aata hai.. wahee sound mere front gears par araha hai..

any idea what could be the problem?

I get the same noise on my 2000 civic. On my civic its because of something in the power steering system. There is dirt or something in the system and when i turn+acc, the reverse gear-like sound comes in.
In my case the solution is simple. Get the steering system all cleaned ( which i havent done till now ).

Maybe the same is with ur car as well. Check steering fluid and see if it comes when u turn....

mechanics are big time chay in our country.. they are willing to open the gear box to fix it.. though my gear are shifting awesomely.. no voice on clutch press.. clutch is smooth, everything is fine.. just that voice which irritates, and I don't understand that point.. when someone else drive the car, the voice comes in with no time to get off..

I was driving on one hand continuously from past few months, that voice never came..and when ma sis suddenly went to long drive, this voice came.. it happened before as well.. I just don't understand how does she drives.. lol

well.. lets welcome more suggestion, i doubt with that problem (no offense)

get the gear oil changed.. don't use pso.. try to opt for caltex..

i am more than 80% sure the sound is of differential wearing the ring gear,either the differential pin is loose(having play) or its gear.
The only way to check them is to open the gearbox.

if the problem is with differential,the sound will increase in years to come,the loose particles of metal will contaminate in gear oil and may cause the damage to gear box slowly.Reason is the aging may be becuase of substandard parts and lubes.
