no, still they have not opened their showroom in Faisalabad...

But a showroom in Jinnah colony gates have a brand new Geely for sale!

hmm. The lahore Jail road dealer told me that they have opened a showroom in FSD and has taken my mobile no. and told me that he will let me know when Islamabad dealership will be open.

Infect he was saying me that i can book the car at their showroom and he will deliver the car at their ISB Showroom, as the ISB showroom will be open within a month.

Nice car in ud price some one said here i produces 90 hp if it is rigth then far better than city and Liana which produces only 75 to 79 hp

Saw add today in Dawn. The prices are introductory and are valid till July 7. Don't know how much they will increase it afterwards.

i spotted one today near campus
was looking awesome

saw 2 geelys (1 near pattoki and other on motorway)....both were being driven slow. Failed to understand why (especially on motorway). Any geely owner may plz reply as to speed and pick of car.....is there some problem with the car ? ?

they must be conscious about the running period of thier cars

coz the geely i saw was running as if it was racing
i did nt lyk dat kinda drive
but liked the sound of engine coming at high rpm

Dealer at lahore told me that they have sold about 50 cars. Thats a good numnber i must say, if compared with Proton.

Still no show room in Islamabad

@sarmadm & @ahmedz_1: Thanx bros for replying.....one of the cars i saw being driven slowly wasnt completing its running, its owner has pics here on the forum too. It is seen for the last many weeks.
It is important that any owner comes on the forum and confirms the reason, since sale of 50 cars isnt a reason enough to prove geely is gr8 in running. It is a cheap car certainly, but still under trail and observation.

i saw the car in karachi...the interior is of very inferior quality and there are gaps in the joints, especially in the plastic cover of the steering column. the quality is much worse than mehran even - this is mehran quality of 5 yrs ago. i know one thing about chinese engines from personal experience: their metallurgy is poor and the engines will not be as durable as japanese and korean technology engines. parts will not be available for quite some time so this is for the guys who were brave enough to buy these cars: DO NOT HIT THEM

I dont think parts availability will be that much a problem as it has the same Toyota Engine of 1994-2001 (that is what i think by seeing the engine).

Secondly their have a number of showrooms rather than only 1 (as the case with Proton i think).

I am waiting for their show room to be opened in Islamabad, otherwise i will buy Liana.

do check interior of a customer car and than compare it with the demo piece sitting inside the showroom, the demo piece is throughly abused by visitors who want to poke into every knob and corner and often result in damaged interior

i saw interior of a parked geely and from outside the visible gaps and problems i had seen at the showroom were NOT visible

please let us know when geely is opening there show room in ISLAMABAD. my uncle is going to pakistan in august and thinking to get Geely.and please any geely owner post there views about this car.
