Well to be honest It looks so different and complicated . It needs many days to get used to

I have read all the instructions and now yes I can use it .

But how to manage our old and big threads ? I used to edit the 1st post of my threads and used to make an Index to skip to the exact page for reviews , pics or Videos ! NOW it seems so difficult
Everything is there just in 1 page you just have to scroll down or up
I shared so many videos in my thread and now even I dont remember the post numbers obviously so its almost impossible for me to edit the 1st post and write the exact post numbers of those videos , pics or reviews.
New members and visitors may like this interface but for me its so complicated and I feel many will loose interest sadly

And yes How to Edit the 1st Post of our Threads ?????

also change your view option.. on top menu bar.. when you are on your computer..

When you change to Category view.. it will appear in same order it used to appear in the past

You can click this tab and it will show the drop down menu with all sections.. click any one and you will jump to the clicked one.. Yo don't need to scroll from top to bottom of the page.. this is helpful if you are in Toyota section and want to go to no wheel section at the end of the page.. just jump directly..

you can change body of your thread by clicking on the highlighted icon.. Also it will show you various version of edits.. @InNoCeNt_DeViL

How to get e-mail notification of new post, quote, mention from threads you created or subscribed.
I have enabled desktop notification but i don't get notification of new post etc.

the email notification feature will be active in couple of days .. Meanwhile when you are on forum.. you will see a notification in form a pop up on top of your ID.

When i open a thread sometimes it takes me to the last post but sometimes it shows first post. how to go to the last in a thread

I will definately miss the old interface but i guess its time to move on. The new app is like i am using PW through a web browser, it looks a bit complicated though but its always a difficult task to settle in with new tech i reckon

@InNoCeNt_DeViL under every post, there is an option to create a permanent link to that post.

Older links to the posts do not work anymore, yes its a major PITA for someone whose has done extensive referencing, but hey thats the way forward.

Subcribed is called Watching in Discourse. Whenever you participate or post in a thread, or manually add a thread in your Watch list, it appears in your Watched Threads. You can access your Watched Threads from here:
https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/latest?state=watching

To access this link in the future, go to your User Preferences page and find the Show watched topics
link towards the bottom of the page.

To Unsubscribe from any of the Subscribed Threads, goto that thread and look for timeline on the right side. From there change notification to Normal from Watching and it will unsubscribe you from that thread.

sorry to say this is the worst upgrade in layout i have seen on any website.

too cumbersome and confusing.

also the login management is totally messed. dont like this a bit.

prefer if you could revert to the pervious interface and layout.

Thank you Fahad. Actually I also read your this response in another post and got used to it but I still could not find the list of threads that I had subscribed in previous version. Actually I need those as they were very useful and I used to refer them in case of need due to their comprehensiveness and details. Moreover, what is the option i want to keep the thread subscribed but do not want notifications.

If you could also guide me on that.

One more suggestion, the FAQ portion is not helpful,, if you could update it with all the queries that have been addressed it will enable the people to learn on their own instead of asking or struggling.

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, reverting to the older forum software is not possible. Could you list down the areas you are having trouble with? I am thinking of creating small videos to explain the things. Usually this happens after an upgrade, users are used to doing some actions a certain way and it takes a little getting used to to change the way of doing things.

I will check your user account to see if we have missed any threads against the user as the data verification didn't show any missing data.

You can use the Bookmark functionality to save the threads in a separate tab known as Bookmarks. You can bookmark any post or reply.

Same as you do with desktop like this:

You just select the text from the post you want to quote, a small popup will appear and then you can click on quote reply popup and it will open the reply screen for you to reply with quote.
