So far my car's ODO meter has reached 77KM How much time does it take for the engine to settle down?

I don't know from where you can get these plugs. I got them from jz at pakwheels. They cost around 4200. If you can get Ngk ifr6j11 they are even better than these.

Running in period for car is up to 1000 kms. Follow the instructions in owners manual for this time.

A new is "new"; even if its PKDM and a used is "used"; even if its JDM

Swift DLX is a nice "package"; go for it....having said that if you "can easily add more into your budget"; go for City iVTEC M/T instead. City iVTEC will drink less fuel and upto 20k KMs you will just have to spend on fuel and oil changes and its fun to keep car!

Very rightly said. Agreed that JDMs are better with maybe all the bells and whistles but PKDM works for us despite their inherent drawbacks. Importers are readily going to tell the poster to get JDM. By the way, every damn JDM is not driven 30-40,000 Kms

I've reached 1100, got the checkup done at 915, apparently no issues, the car was perfecto so far. When to change the Air Filter, Engine Oil And Oil Filter? CALTEX Fully Synthetic Imported is good to put in SWIFT?

Every one have their own opinions... my brother got a 0 meter swift DLX 2012 in July with indash cd player of Alpine one. you guys wont believe the deck and the clock stopped working and went to the suzuki company they said needs replacement. and you wont believe the car is driven 900Km on ODO meter , i personally dont like suzuki quality

I just got it too....loving it in blue pearl. 160 on the odo. can anyone suggest how to properly break in the engine....i.e. bring it in the proper running...so that the rings settle in the best manner giving the best efficiency. Also please share you fuel consumption average..

built quality of local cars is pathetic, a friend of mine has a 2010 DLX, his car is 12,000 driven and the door trim is wearing off, ac ducts are broken (both sides)

Go for a 5 yr used JDM car, better quality, more features, cheaper prices & safety is also considered when building them.

I am an owner of Suzuki swift n it has done almost 45 thousand kms.. No issues except the electric window and lock buttons marks are fading.. Otherwise still an excellent car with an awesome acceleration... A really good hatchback, and totally worth it!

good choice, all the cons spread in market are false, i'm using dlx and even before first service (450 km on ODO) it gives me 14.65 kmpl avg a/c is really good, plus pick of it is better than corolla, and specially its value is also better, but if you sure want a car with boot, corolla let say you have to give another 5 lacs for the same features
and the car dosent get hot as people have said that its radiator is not sufficient, and ground clearence is better than corolla i have driven it on ghatya kisam k speed breakers jis pe corolla hit hoti hai with only 4 passengers, but this even with 5 passengers an some another 100 kg of lugage weight didnt.
