Actually your LC is Pre 2003 so there is alot of difference between the performance between a 1998-2002 and 2003-2007 1hdfte. Pretty much every thing was improved as year changed from induction pattern to injectors. To squeeze HP from the 1hdfte you need alot of $$$$. The case with 2UZ is totally opposite however.

Bro amazons are way too delicate. Have had some experiences with them. Goes back in 2003 and later. Ill bring the 80 series or 70 series V6

The IFS can never have a proper articulation so it can never perform as good as solid axel. The amazons are good to be driven on roads with comfortable tyres, optimum suspension condition and air conditioning .

The hydropnumetic suspension won't give you problem every time. But once it starts to, there is no workshop locally that can set it up exactly as it should be.

Ah amazon in tough Land cruiser UK spec is tough i have had em for years and found em the best, takes anything u throw at it, But the Japanese isn't bad either, I personally like the Amazon!

My vote goes to amazon aswell. Much better made than the japanese land cruiser and it's what I call diesel version of Cygnus. Amazon has some options that are not found in Japanese 100 series expect Cygnus. i.e. memory seats/side mirrors/ steering. Roll sensing curtian airbags to name a few.
