Guys my battery died instantly on Friday.

I switched to new Exide 52 Amp 11 plate battery, and i can report below mentioned advantages straight away

1- better starting lesser self time
2- improved idle
3- improved mileage
4- reduced knocking

exact same thing happened to me when i got throttle body cleaned from the mechanic (for no reason). After start up the idle used to remain quite high.

this is probably because the oxygen sensor takes time to re calibrate the idle once the input is changed (which is expected after cleaning and changing of filters etc).

It has returned to normal after a month of use.

Also i saw major improvement after recent ECU reset (which happened automatically since my battery died).

Also the guy who was waxing the car suggested to use STP protectant on the tyres but i was not sure since i think that it would attract more dust and eventually will make kind of muddy stuff on the tyres.

Please guide.

If you want cheap option go for 7CF brand tyre shine and cleaner cost is around 275 here in Khi.

Removed the battery terminals for about an hour and then drove the car for about 30 mins. Viola! What an improvement

Is it advisable to use a 5w50 in an engine like that of vitz, passo etc. From what I gather from different forums of these cars for the temperature of our environment, the chart signifies a 0w30 or a 5w30 (0 degrees - 40 degrees).
