Well What I Have Seen So Far In Carb Cars Or In EFi Cars Also Is RPM Signal Wire Hooks Up Into Ignitor For Signals...Same As In Carb...Hook The Wire Upto Negative Of Coil...And Get The RPM Working ...Just Got The Correct One A/c to The no Of CYl on engine... I Have Done In So Many Cars And Works For Me

Kindly Mention Which Dizzy Wire You Hook Up With...There Are Four Wires... G- , G1 , G2 And NE...To Which One You Hook Up..?

Well As i Am Also A DIY Guy And Have Wire Up My 4AGE 20v BT Myself...So What I Found And Do Is Get Signal Of Tachometer From One Wire Of Ignitor.....And It Works Just Fine.....!

Also In Service And Repair Manual.... I Was Told To Hook Up There So I Do

I Don't Use Any Noise Filter Or So.......! Might Be After Fitting Up Noise Filter In B/w....Its Gonna Be More Smooth..Still Now..It Works Good And Fine Like Tachometers Did ....!!

B/w What About Noise Filter......You Gonna Use Some Resistance and Capacitor In Order To Make One :o

Post It In DIY If You Do So....!! And Let Me Know...Will try That Also

man told ya before, i connected it to one of the wires coming to distributor,it also sends same pulse signals and meter just works fine

Try your Luck...Google It...You Might Find It.....

B/w....Dizzy Send Pulses For ECU Also.......Just Make Sure RPM Getting Correct Pulses....If Its Same Then Its Ok.....

I Am Still In Doubt About That Dizzy Thing...Ignitor Looks Better Option To Me As It Works Without Any Filter Or So And Factory Manual Also Recommend It......!

Try To Find The One Unused Point On Ignitor And Thats IGN-...Hook It Up There Also And See What It Shows....!

Ignitor Got 5 Points...IGF IGT To ECU......One Wire Comes Into Ignitor From Coil......One Is +12V Ign To It.....The One Left Is Surely IGN- We Used For Tacho Reading....!

Just Have A Look On Wiring Of Ignitor And You Will Know..! Just Give A Try........!!

For Timing......Try Checking It Around Somewhere 8-12 Degree BTDC.....!!! Then It Depends On How Much Boost You Run And What are Mods....

What Actually Happens? Car Suddenly Dead And What About IGN.....Did It Work Or Starter Works Or What Happen

Alternator Work Is To Charge Battery...Thats It......It Alternator Is Not Working...You Battery Is Not Gonna Charge So You Can't Run Your Car......!!

havnt instal boost gauge yet, but in my opinion,as its on stock so cant exceed 0.8 Bar, or 8-9 Psi, i m nt sure as i dont have any guage to teme, ooh K, so here it starts again, lets install a boost gauge, Where did ya get one, how much, and i think two pipes should be pluged in it, one for the Boost (Pressure) and other for turbo lag (vacuum) hmmm?? m i right,
Between, I know all the safety features related to my 4EFTE are working perfectly fine, as it shut down Engine and was nt throtteling as the thermo-state valve got stuck and water wasn't circulating through the radiator, Man goto Check each and every connection every valve if its wrking properly, before hitting the Roads at 220Km/hr, .....i wish.........
BTW wots the tops figure you getting with 4 AGE? Acceleration? 0-100kmh timing? 400m time and trap speed?

for DIztributor and ignitor thing,

In the Charade manual, the RPM signal wire is to be connected with the wire i just connected with, and i am sure for Toyota it should be connected to Ignitor IGN wire........I dont wana get confused, even if its nt a big deal i can connect it to IGN _ as you said, and hopefully it wil work fine too, but have more important things to deal with than Tacho, like I just discovered the MAP sensor isnt working fine, so have2 Change it

how to adjust the RPMs, for it changes standby RPMs also, engine starts missing at some agle, how to rectify all that?

How U Know That MAP Sensor Is Not Functioning Correctly...! Bad Map Sensor Or Wrong Connections Of Map Sensors Lead To Run Either Too Rich And Missing......!!I Hope You Are Using Its Own 4EFTE Map sensor.....!

For Timing Get It Adjusted Around 8-12 Degress.... You Will Se I think 12mm Bolt On Upper Side Of Distributor Mounting...Loose It And Move Distributor Clockwise And Counter ClockWise To Check Where Its Getting Advanced...(You Will Notice Change In Engine RPM's When Advanced )........ I Better Suggest To Get A Timing Light In Order To Do It Correctly....! Advancing To Much Results In Knocking.....!!

About RPM...So I Don't Know 4EFTE Have ISACV Or Not But In A series like My 4AGE.....I HAve ISCV Which Is Responsible To Maintain Idle Speed .......!! Vacuum Leak Can Also Cause incorrect Idle...Check For Any Vacuum Leak In Your Engine...!! Also Check Fuel Pressure..I Suggest Better Get Adjustable FPR So That You Actually Knows You Pump And Fueling Is All Correct

In Your 4EFTE ECU Pinouts..
Check For Pinouts Responsible For Idle.....!!

I Just Remember Of Friend Telling Me About His Idle Problem...Later We Figured That 4EFTE Uses Different Idler Switches For Different Things In Order To Make Idle Correctly...For Instance Like...Head Light Have Its Idler...A/C Have Its Idler And So More.... Electrical Load Can Also Make Difference In Idle So Do Keep In Mind And Check For Pinouts Relating Idle Of Any Kind

I still think i cudnt adjust the distributor right, cause of some problems i am facing,
The intake manifold is leaking from 2-3 vacuum houses,

*- one is attached for brakes servo,
*-one is with blow off valve,
*- one is free hanging, and as i think its to be connected to Air conditioner vacuum switch,
*- there are some other lose vacuum and pressure housing pipes,coming from turbo intake, and turbo outlet to inter cooler, most probably are meant to attach the TURBO boost meter,
engine swapping is a really hectic job,i just discovered that the MAP sensor is of 4EFE....... hence it cuts of fuel/runs too lean ( engine get heated whenever turbo boost is activated,though power is cut off at around 4500-5000 RPM)
I checked MAP sensor by attaching it to a vacuum (used an injection for testing it for vacuum) the engine performed really well,topped around 7500 RPM and it was stil running fine when i cut down the fuel.

i think due to these leaks in Manifold,the Servo tends to lose its vacuum, break fail is imminent, so I have to go through all that once again,

Do u think i should put in a one way Check valve between Manifold and breaks servo?so whenever under boost from turbo, manifold will not pressurize the servo instead of creating vacuum,

these discussions really helping me out in tunning and performance, learning a lot, during my way to finalize my project,

More over, i did test it though its half finished, it was cutting boost when accelerated hard,on soft acceleration gear ratio was somthing like this,

1st=30km/hr till 4000RPM........ turbo boost started n boost cutoff

2nd=60km/hr till 4200RPM........turbo boost started n boost cutoff

3rd=85 km/hr till 4500RPM ........turbo boost started n boost cutoff

4th=115 km/hr till around 4500RPM...........started around 90 kmh n boost cutoff at 110kmh

5th=145 km/hr till around 4600rpm........ boost cutoff

m nt satisfied at all but i know it got potential i have seen it topped around 7500 RPM

i think it will top at around 200kmh with proper MAP sensor and all settings,Radiator fan sucks(as its of old Charade)it doesnt cool down at all, Radiator needs cleaning, because temperature raised quite exceptionally,

good news is, i am gonna get one MAP sensor Inshalla in a couple of days...........need price confirmation? well i m getting it in replacement
