1. Also your assertions regarding no protocol are completely unfounded. According to news there were atleast 20 guards present at the the time of this incident and the complete security detail includes 170 people

As far as 1 is concerned, the whole security detail of Governor was involved as Qadri emptied 2 magazines on the governor. Qadri told investigators that he specifically asked all the other guards not to shoot him and capture him alive after the shooting. Experts say that firing 2 magazines of a SMG which also involves changing the magazines, takes atleast 1 minute which highlights the complicity of whole security detail in the shooting

Also spreading and creating conspiracy theories does not helps anyone

In some recent threads of PW u can see a thread of CM Balochistan travelling alone without any protocol in Islamabad. So many a times these leaders want to enjoy their social life without the interference of other guys i.e Protocol. Salman taseer was a bold man and he was often seen in the cafes of M.M Alam road Lahore. Btw driving a civic is not a shame.

we are no one to judge a person during his life... there is something known as RULE OF LAW which is to be implemented by courts not us... and we are no one to judge a person after his death... Allah Almighty is the one to do so...

just want to add another point... there should be some check on Molana's giving Fatwa... many of them gave Fatwa against Salman Taseer which led to this thinking of taking the law in own hands...

Thats mainly because our legal system is failed to provide the justice to the common man. Law in our country is only for poor the people who are rich or have good position in the society are never bothered by the laws. Let alone the common man just look at the case of assassination of Benazir Bhutto who was PM of the country twice. His husband is in power for last 2.5 years and no real effort to get to the killers, and over that what happens the security advisor of Bilawal house who was caught with suspicious moves on camera in the last jalsa and could have led to the killers of BB was shot dead Karachi. Hopefully you got my point.

Every muslim should condemn the killing of every innocent person on the face of earth. It also applies to the countless innocent people who have been killed by the drone attacks on Pak Afghan border and termed as the "Sharpasand" by the media. If we are condemning only the killings of Playboys like Salman Taseer and forgetting the all other innocent killings then i am sorry to say sir we are not muslims we are "hypocrites".

You really think there exists a free judicial system in Pakistan? Duhhh. Just see how those judges are gonna afraid of Mullahs and gonna extend the dates by months and months, when he has confessed that he killed him. Penalty to death on the first hearing but sorry this is not Iran.

In iran taseer would have been long hanged by the judicial system for speaking against the blasephmy law.

Personally i never liked the guy but now that he is dead ,best of luck to him in the HereAfter.

IMO his assassination (not 'shahadat') was expected after his comments 'kala kanoon' and interference in religious affairs.
