These and many others are available at Brandreth road. I saw a lot of good stuff there when I went to buy my stuff. Guys should take a day out of their busy schedule and make a detailed visit there. I found enough dielectric grease to last me a lifetime plus much cheaper than compared to the price for which I was getting online.

All three are prescribed for use in lubricating caliper O-rings and seals in brake systems. Details are in the links I posted above.

They are only meant for lubricating the the caliper pins which do have an O ring and also a dust seal - not the internal piston seals or even its dust seals. Massive money goes down the drain when you do that.

PL-7S was sold in Karachi Pakistan when I lived there, usually in the small strange shops that only rubber brake parts. The red/pink rubber grease is given by all three manufacturers in Pakistan, Toyota/honda/suzuki when you buy their caliper service kits.

Yes, both products do list it clearly - and none of them have it to lube caliper piston seal ring or dust boot, The CRC and permatex lube is used to lubricate the mehanical moving parts of the caliper like pins, pad carrier edges etc.

The sieken PL-7S product is an assembly lube for the caliper piston and seal - the only reason to use PL-7S is longevity of shelf life, meaning you can use it to build a caliper and leave it in a box for years, Brake fluid also gets the job done but as it sucks moisture right from the air around it, the caliper will rust out if let to sit on a a shelf for a few months if it was assembled with brake fluid.

The brake lube you posted is never to be in touch with any brake fluid part as it will destroy the fluid and seals and render the brakes useless.

this is plumber's grease, typically used to lube faucets and valves. - It works on Brake caliper pins too perfectly if you clean them out first.

yep - I use that too, a squirt bottle full of it works nice - squirt, install seals, work - install job done. Great for immediate commissioning.

that is "truck ki batti" product.

its nearly impossible to find in Pakistan. - the sieken one is available because shops actually stock sieken products.

The PBR shop in Karachi had their own assembly paste, also good stuff - rarely sold from their counter.

my heart skipped i beat when i first read plumbers grease
i did clean the pins thoroughly and removed the previously used burned up grease from the pad carrier and still the stupid brakes rattle

the rattle is most probably something actually worn out, are the pads seated into their steel clips? or are they missing? Are you sure the rattling is from the brakes - sometimes the front shock tower mount rattles too

When I bought my brake pads last time, I also bought a tiny serving of CRC Brake Grease to go with them.

This product is applied to the back of the pads - it forms a glue like consistency and prevents the pads squealing.

For general purposes at home and auto, I have the Silicon Grease (also known as White grease), which is highly recommended for lubrication purposes.

My Indy mechanic swears by the Liqui Moly Silicon grease. As per him, this is the grease recommended by BMW to all dealerships.

the rattle is most probably something actually worn out, are the pads seated into their steel clips? or are they missing? Are you sure the rattling is from the brakes - sometimes the front shock tower mount rattles too

its definitely the brakes
the clips are there but the inner ones on the passenger side were a bit loose and thats the side making noise

The white grease you post and the silicone grease you post are two completely different products, the white grease is a lithium soap petroleum grease, the silicone grease is mostly a bunch of polydimethylsiloxane with some other bits n bobs.

I use good ol' made in Long Island New York, Silicone lube compound by Synco products. - makes of superlube. It works super. 3M silicone paste works nice too, but when I need to restock this item the superlube is on sale. - forget corrossion, it wont even move if splashed with salt water.

Im sure liqui moly must be selling this at premium price (because deutsche) - equally good or even better products are available - like the 3M item.
